I've been eating 6 BIIIIIG pills every day since Monday to recover from pneumonia and sinusitis and yet I feel no better. I breath like an old woman (hell - I AM an old woman!) and have a running snout like an
old geezer. Tha pain, oh, the pain!!! See, I even complain like an old person!
This "Old-ora" must go away so the bubbly and breathtaking (opposite to the now breath-less*haha*) Adora can enter again. Where's the fun, where's the joy?
Yeah - I know - in Healthy town, not in Mucus-ville ;(
13:30 I'll have another date with Doctor Bart.
Inbetween the rest I so desperately need to get well from my pneumonia I managed to bake some saffron buns (and yes - I was very careful with the hygiene) for the Lucia parade-coffee on Friday. I'm gonna make some more tomorrow.

And yes, I know, I AM the gothic Martha Stewart ;) Oink oink
I've been caughing my insides out for 3 weeks, and my relatives started to get worried about me.
So at my birthday bash this weekend they forced me to PROMISE to go to the doctor Monday. Okay, okay, I said.
So, Monday I had to get out in a very snowy Sweden to the exhausting walk to my doctor.
I got a doctor Bart. I just can't stop laughing at that. There are nearly no Bart's in Sweden, but now he was my doctor! The theme from Simpsons was playing in my head on the way over...
He checked me over and then I got a bloodtest. The value should be 5, and never higher then 8. I had 54. He told me I clearly had a bakterial infection and double pneumonia and sinusitis. WHAT?!
So - here I have been rumbling about in 38.9 degrees Celsius fever, feeling light-headed because I can't breath normally because my lungs stings and caughing my insides out while trying to tell myself I'm just having a cold?!
Bless my father in law for sending me to the doctors office!
I should have known something was wrong when I slept in 30 minutes extra instead of putting on my make up 2 times last week. I can't hardly admit it to myself. I don't think that's happened since I was 12. I'm so ashamed....
At 08.26 this morning I turned 38! That's the same age my mum was when I met my husband (I was 16 then). And I thought she was so aged! I still feel 16 at heart :)
Yesterday I had my relatives over for cookies. I had 38.8 degrees Celsius fever and they all were worried about me getting wornout. So I had to lie and say it was no problem at all, and that I had already baked all the cookies.
But no, I made the chocolate cupcakes the evening before, and the vanilla horns, white chocolate angel kugeln, oakmeal cookies with chocolate and the pastry I did on that morning *sorry for lying*
I usually make 7 different cookies, but I just had to cut down.
And today on my real birthday I woke up with a sinusitis on my right side (oh, the pain! The teeth, the entire cheek and my temple hurts like crazy), massive headache and 38.8 degrees Celcius in fever. My relatives are certain I have pneumonia (I think not!) and is forcing me to visit a doctor tomorrow..
Not such a glamorous birthday, right... Right now I'm wishing for: being half asleep in the couch with my kids hugging me every now and then and to eat the amazing salmon fillet and gorgonzola baked broccoli my husband will make me for dinner <3 I made some homemade vanilla sauce yesterday, so I'm guessing I'll bake an appelpie for the evening as well. Screw fever!
This is the view from my sofa right now. Perhaps it's difficult to see, but there's a gunpowder magazine build in granit seen in the right corner of the window. It was made 1734. And now there is snow and ice around it as supposed to a beautiful sea. I just love my window view.
Charlie Chaplin and his pretty women in the movies (they had some sweet make up and hair back then) made me want one, and then of course the movie Clockwork Orange made everyone else crave for one.
I did search long and hard for one in my apple-head size. The only ones I could find was for hydrocephalus heads ;) (no offence if you have hydrocephalus).
Last summer I went to London with some pretty boy and can you believe - somewhere deep in the Stables Market in Camden Town a lady sold lots of knickknack like indian dream catchers and other very strange items. And amongst all this shit I saw a shape I longed for - the perfect bowler hat! Not that kind of crappy new made hats with doubtful quality, but a real hard one, like from the old era. It was a Holy Grail moment for me. I felt dizzy and everything else just stopped moving...
Of course she had a real overprice to it, like £35 or more. In Sweden theese hats can be found cheap, like £9 - but only in super sizes. I tried it on - and it was a perfect match, like when Darth Vader got his helmet on. I think I even started to breath like him ;)
I told her £10. She of course refused. So I said thank's and bye.
In the 2 seconds I took for me to leave her little "store" she said - "Okay, fine, you can have it for £10."
I'm guessing she had this hat since the beginning of the century and it never fitted anyones head. She must have know the chance of another apple-headed person to come her way would be another century...
But I only wear it on bad hair days. Good hair should never be hidden under a hat!
Here is the artist Miranda X that I helped with the make up and styling for her first music video this weekend. She is only 16 and already so fantastic.
Here she is when I just did her make up, and bit of the hair.
This is a picture of her from before the styling
Here in the wonderful castle, Bäckaskog castle
This is during the shot. Everything but the bra is my clothes.
I'm getting up at 03.45 tomorrow morning to get on a train at 05.38 to Kristianstad.
I will do make up/hair and wardrobe on a music video for a 16 year old girl called Miranda X.
She's got a killer voice (but they have trashed the voice on the song Hollywood with some robot stuff), and already she's got a song playing on the radio. It's not my kind of music, but at least it's more of an electronica sound.
Her "natural" voice is fantastic and I'm not a big fan of those digital/robot things they put over it. I think it reduces her. But - according to producers, this is what people want. And I don't know their type of music so they are probably right. But personally I love her natural voice much better.
I haven't been given a straight story line so it's a bit difficult, but I think I have it covered :)
I will pack lots of fake hair, clothes, shoes and make up soon.
Worst is I'm a bit sick and should probably spend 3 days in bed instead...
My 3 favourite perfumes have over time been the same 3...
Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana (when to impress boys)
Tribù by Benetton (when to impress girls)
Woman by Hugo Boss (on every other occation)
As deo spray I love Cat Deluxe by Naomi Cambell
Since my last pregancy I devloped a swelling in my nose that didn't go away as it's supposed to do after a while. This causes me to not being able to sence different smells so good. I did an operation to fix it, but it didn't succeed.. And NO - I didn't do a nose job as in plastic surgery! Oh, you are so going to compare old and new pictures of me now! I'm very sad I can't smell (and taste) the same like I used to do, I had a real gourmé nose. But I'm thinking of re-doing the surgery.
This also makes me not to dare to buy a new perfume!! I only play the safe cards I had since before the pregnancy since I can't trust my nose theese days. I have no idea on what perfumes smells modern and what smells like an old lady.
I'm thinking perhaps I'd give the Cat Deluxe perfume a go?
Any other tips now when you know what smells I like?
They are so handsome together, Porsche and Prince Vinyl <3
Porsche doesn't quite understand he's the size of a small calf and think he is like a kitten in size, so poor Princen is being totally squished by him. But they are so sweet together.
Here's the first shot of me and Porsche.
I'm so sorry to have tricked you, but Porsche is a wonderful, seal masked siamese. He and Signhild was actually friends when Porsche was a kitten. And I met him when he was 1 year, that was when we got Signhild from the same breeder. "I-L" got so sad when I called her and said Signhild was about to be put to sleep that she offered me another cat for free - that's how Porsche ended up at my flat.
He befriended Prince Vinyl in 24 hours and they are already kissing eachother like crazy - so sweet!
He's a real darling..
I brought my Porsche home today :) It was a long and tiredsome ride I'd tell you. But what don't you do for a free Porsche - and it's the nicest Porsche I've ever seen!
I'm in LOVE <3
Just made a look-at copy of the Adorable Heart blouse for the seamstresses to look at to understand how I'm thinking. It will of course be in black later. Here's a sneak-peak
The sewing is NO good, that's why I have professionals doing it ;) This is more of a sketch...
Like most goths I've always fantasized about eating human flesh ;)
And now perhaps I can! Well, this is a step on the way at least.
I must learn this skill!
Imagine being on the train and pull out a foot, carve it in half, add some brie and nice ham to it and start to eat. People would faint all over the place. I'd really like that! (and if they are fainted I can eat them *hahaha*) (you know I'm joking right? Or am I.....)
I'm no super fan of spiders - living ones, but my goth mind is intrigued by them so when ever I can find cool spiders to use as decorations on me I buy them. So far I only have super-glitter spiders. I really suck at being a cool been-there-done-that kind of goth, I'm just too perky and get easily distracted by shiny things... This makes me feel embarassed, but I try to act like I'm cool anyway, and hopefully noone will see through my un-coolness. I just can't shake that glitz mind of mine. I'm like a raven! Collecting shiny objects..
But today I stumbled over this fantastic hairclip! It appeals to me big time. It's from Beserk clothing, Australia, for $8.90AUD. It's 2 1/2" by 2" in size. Much classier than those plastic ones I put in my hair..
This will make it to my Christmas list this year, Santa. Okay?
