Today's look

Basic Goth wear by Adora BatBrat

Basic Goth wear by Adora BatBrat by adorabatbrat featuring sequin pants
This is what I consider "basic" goth wear. Nothing special, but still okay.
I had 2 meetings at school yesterday with Fairlight's and TeeBee's teachers wearing this.
(Can someone please help me here - is that correct, or should it be TeeBees' instead of TeeBee's or just plain TeeBees?).
I did feel a bit dressed down from the usual me though.

NO, NO, nothing like that!
They didn't bite their little friends or anything, it was just the ordinary development chat with the teachers. Fairlight improved (she didn't talk as much and actually raised her hand before talking ;) ). The other things she had under control. Made mum proudest - she is so positive, her teacher said :)

TeeBee...well, what can we say about him...
Also very positive, his teacher said, but ants in the pants, talks as much as I do and just wanna have fun all the time.
Makes his homework witout any effort and scored the highest of all kids in the class (waaaay higher) with 61 points out of 62! A brainiac! Just like me ;)

Secret life of...

Today I did something very unlike myself; I accepted an interview from our newspaper!
For many, many years I have been "chased" from different newspapers in Sweden for interviews, but I have always said no, no and no.
Even Dagens Nyheter (The Daily News), Sweden's biggest newspaper, have asked me several times to be able to follow me around for a day.
I can't see why on earth I'm that interesting?

But I liked the reporter, Lasse, and thought he was very respectful, well mannered and sweet, so I said yes.

He told me he's got lots of cred at work for being able to make me accept :) "-How were you able to get her? She never says yes?!"
I must confess I only did it for the applepie and vanilla sauce he bought me...but let's keep that secret between just you and me!

Todays make up

You know the feeling when you just love your face - I had that today!I felt so Adora BatBrat <3
I'm quite happy about how I turned out today <3
The cute girls at daycare said I had my prettiest moment ever today. I even heard the word "princess".
They were most intrigued by my one green eye. How is that possible?! they said.

My own kids are never impressed.. -Mhm, so you have your lens on today *gasp*. What's for dinner?
Kind off like that.

Todays make up

Friday should always be a bit extra special - even though I think you should be Friday/Saturday styled every day...
This Friday Synthia said she wanted to be styled as a cat.
Oh, I got so jealous, I wanted to be a cat too!

This is me on my way to school. I have still not painted on my lipstick - I usually do that on the bus (bit late, ey?) .

I tried to match my daughter by wearing black and white stockings as well.
Aww, I just love the kitty cat make up! The cutest me <3
Purr.

Today's look

Some bathrooms are just slightly cooler than the others.
Most of the time it'sbecause they contain <3me<3 at the moment (what a stuck up comment, you a-hole!) I feel like Adora in Wonderland whenever I need to take a leak at my dad's and Beda's house .
The make up of today was a winner according to me. I felt so cuuuuute!
Time for my close up.

Aww, what a lovely crazy face! I think this is the kind of poses I do best.
If this wasn't me I'd like to give this far out chick a big kiss. What the hell, I just did...but in my hand.

Saturday make up: How to wax eyebrows

Get hold of something firm, or call a help line or something, because this will be bad! I'm producing the first ever pictures of me without ANY make up!!! Nude!
Ghastly, I know! I'm sorry for doing this to you.

To maintain this fanciful exterior I have devoted my life to I need to do some sacrifices once a week.
One sacrifice makes me say; "Ouch! For the love of...!", "Man, that hurts!" and "Aargggh!!!".
That's my Saturday Sacrifice: The Shining Waxing....

Before, with all the brows trying to get a grip on my face
(and yes, it is my correct eye color, I have only changed the rest to grayscale)
I use Veet cold wax stripes for legs and cut them in right sizes. This way it's cheaper and better I think. Add some Vaseline (or the potion sent in the package) and rub over the area afterwards to remove any access wax.

Smooth like a babys buttI then put on Boot's No7 before I use my foundation (Kryolan TV-white)
And now is the time to be wild!!! Well, I don't celebrate the stupid idea to try on something new with your make up in the morning - this have clearly been stated in my youtube videos.

But this was an impulse. I just couldn't stop! At first the eyebrows swirl made me look so angry. What to do? I couldn't remove what I did without ruining the make up, so I just had to keep it going until it looked ok.

Think it's too many pictures of me? Mo-ha-ha-haaa, I'm not done yet!

And last, but not least - the whole me.
And then it was time to go and meet Santa together with the baby bats.

Sunday ice capades!

In my attempt to stay true to my Sunday Goth coolness I tried out a new activity since last Sundays theater was fun - and that's not cool.
Digged out my old ice skates that'd been in hiding since the last decade (more like 15 years).
Ice is cool so it might just done the trick!
But it was a pure BatBambi on ice I can tell you!

I fell on my pretty behind ONCE and of course my husband caught it on video!
But once again I had fun, so this won't quality as a cool Sunday Goth activity either.
But I will not rest until I've discovered the perfect cool Goth thing to do on a Sunday!

Halloween 2011: My look

Friday TeeBee had his usual Halloween Birthday party.
After the 5 minutes fast decoring (that actually turned out very good!) I did all over the place the party started.
I looked like this:
I'm quite satisfied with how the look turned out!
The dress I bought at Vanilla in Camden, London.

We left a note on the door for the guests:
"Ring the bell, count to 30 then enter. If you dare...."
It was just to give their kids a scary walk.
We put scary music on as we heard the bell and went hiding in the kitchen.
As they entered there was a fake man sleeping on the bench just inside the door.
They went through the slaughter drapery, went face to face with the ghost and a witches pot with smoke.
Entered the living room with the smashed witches legs under the table, sneak up to the lady with the black bag over her head.
Then we went out and TeeBee declared: Welcome to my party!!!

We had a fab evening and Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline and Corpse Bride was rolling on the telly.

V-log: Sunday Goth

In the intriguing tale of the life of Adora, we have reached the "Sunday Goth".
Many have wondered, but few have the facts.
There once was a time when people who found out were never found with a body temperature ever again, but you might take the chance.
I can't guarantee your safety though...

London 2011 - The trip, Day 1, part I

Me and Jenni crawled out of our coffins while it was still dark outside.
We tippitoed around eachother to get the best mirror view to be able to put on our vampire protect-make up.

Oh, perhaps you didn't know? That it is the make up that enables me to be out in the daylight without melting? Consider yourseft enlighten.

Left with some drama: Where's the fucking key?! Where's the passport?!
All that drama was made by my wonderful sister. I always keep my head cool (yeah, keep telling yourself that Queen of all Dramas).
10 points - we nailed the first tram we were supposed to!
Arrived at the Central Station where we had to wait for the airport bus.
Nooo stress. Nice and easy.
So unusual for me. I'm always doing things the last minute, and my dear, smart sister likes to be well in time. For me I'm pleased with just arriving 20 sec. before trains/busses leaves. It's a matter of being on time, not how far in time you are ;)
When we arrived at the airport it was time to collect the MONEY!!! Oh, how I love money.
I love it so much you will get 3 pictures of me with the MONEY!
Time to go through the Security check.
As usual we both know we better remove as much on us as possible, always the shoes as well...but still we beeps..and this day was no exclusion.
Both me and Jenni got a nice rub of our complete bodys (I totally recommend the Security check massage), and then they used the mobile beeper on us.
And where did I beep? In my hair and....my belly button! This was before the surgery so perhaps I had some junk in there?
Jenni beeped in her hair as well - and in her butt!! We have no idea why, but it was a nice moment :)

Jenni's getting a hair massage by the Security check at the airport.
We recommend!
And off into the air where we both fell asleep since it was such a loooooong trip to London (1 hour and 40 minutes). When we arrived we had the best of luck, then some fun snob moments.
But all that will follow in London 2011 - The trip, Day 1, part II.

Todays outfit

I've been out for the first time since Thursday, when I had my surgery done.
I put on my faux fur coat I bought in London, put on some new diva shades and spangle tights and went out.
I felt so UCG (Upper Class Goth)!
So what if the coat costed like $57 and the diva glasses were on sale for $7!
UCG isn't supposed to cost a fortune, just to look like it did ;)
Then you can put up a BIG mo-ha-haaa, just like I did.

Todays outfit

My hat week continues!

I'm wearing a hat made of designer Ruby Rouge of London. It was a custum made gift <3
Hat is a perfect goth item. Most of us have pretty, pretty well designed hats - but we rarely take them for a stroll. Poor things.
All beautiful and noone to admire them.

When I have newly colored hair I don't want to wear crowns or hats, because I want people to see the perfect result, but as the growth keeps showing, the more I tend to wear stuff in the hair.
Hats are just delightful and covers up a nasty growth so you can wait another two weeks to bleach.
I should bleach every 6'th week, but I always try to wait until 8 weeks have passed by, just to be nice to the hair.
And having an official hat week is just so smart (I'm so smart, I'm so clever), because now many of them comes to use a bit more often than just a few times a year. Whihooo, my hats says!

And yes, I know I should paint my neck as well to avoid this "mime-face", but I don't really give a rats ass. I want to be pale in the face, that's it. I do think people might have an idea about the fact I'm not really that pale anyway, so I have no urge to try and fool them. Otherwise I'd have to cover my whole body in make up since I'm often wearing less clothes.
Lovely fingerless gloves with a heart shaped hole. Swedish E-Bay.
I love heartsy stuff!
What is this for a stupid burlesque pose? I'm goth, God dammit!
Fantastic necklace by Pinkabsinthe $25.00. Buy here.
Hat: Ruby Rouge (she's no longer active as a designer. So sad...)
Necklace: Pinkabsinthe at Etsy.com (lots of fab things)

This is hat week! I like any reason to wear hats, and having a nasty growth is as good as any. I will be a total UCG in my little hats all week. Here's the pillarbox with spangles from H&M.

I'm sneaking around like a spy
It feels funny around the buttons, it tickles me
Didn't it get cold all of a sudden?
Ahhgg! Scary shit! My jacket disappeared out of the blue! Huh?

In the studio: Black Religion

In the car over. Fairlight and Synthia are hilarious!
Been to the studio at my friends house to sing in a new version of Black Religion.
I'm supposed to sing it together with my sister, but since she couldn't this time, I did the whole shebang and she'll just do her parts later.
Man - I sing badly! I have the strangest voice, or as my darling husband says: "You don't have a nice voice, but it's kind of cool."
I can live with that...
My sister on the other hand has got a very nice and soft voice.

Inbetween verses I made a "Today's outfit" shoot.
I got asked how come my pictures can't be magnified anymore - and I must say it baffles me as well.
I have no idea what changed? I must have done something wrong. Ideas, anyone?
