Lights out for Christmas

Light out för this years Christmas tree. I just turned it off for the last time before undressing it.

2012 years ago Jesus have had his fun; was born, got some gifts and will now continue his life as a baby by sucking his mum's breast dry for a while before he starts with all his "miracles " that we  can all read about in his blog, by that era a book he named the Bible.

How this is celebrated in the modern world is by letting all the woman's in the world spend a full days time by carefully pack down ALL the Christmas decorations that's been up to celebrate the little rascal. Wohoo, thanks Jesus for giving us this fab gift.

Couldn't have thought out some nice "Thank you poor woman who just gave birth to me-gift-day"? I'd like it if some days after Christmas we celebrated all the womens.

We can call the day "Wommas", "Mariemas" or "Missmas" and it could be about giving women an easy day. The gift of a favour rather than a physical gift.

So,  now we can celebrate Missmas the 3'd Sunday after Christmas.

Happy Missmas all girls in the world!

Today is the first Missmas ever, let's celebrate in style!

  5. Hey, Adora. I'm just gonna tell you, I kind of feel like I have to, I dreamt about you last night! I met you and your family at the beach in the sunset, Silverlight was throwing stones in the water, and you were inside. I came up to you and told you that I loved your blog and thought it was awesome that you let your children colour the hair, and that I love that you are being yourself, but you were kind of grumpy, so you didn't answer x)

  8. I always thought that, instead of celebrating the person born on their birthday, we should really be celebrating the woman who went through all the pain and discomfort to bring them into the world. That being said, I really like your idea. Of course, we have Mother's Day over here, at least, but I feel it really doesn't do any justice for women who have gone through pregnancy, childbirth, and unruly upbringings of children.

  9. But Jesus was NOT born on x-mas. It's just a trick from the x-ians to apply yet another lie to a pagan feast, in this case the midsummer solstice. We still eat ham during x-mas just as the asatruers did (Särimner) and they hardly dressed up pinetrees in Jerusalem. There is not a single word in the bible about Jesus birthday. Actually, there is not even a single reliable source that he ever existed. Everything about Jesus can be said about much older gods in other religions so christianity even stole Jesus - just put another name on him. December 2011 is not a christian time, it's the time for Mammon. Spending tons of money, eating way too much, feeling guilty, getting stressed. And we gladly continue this in December 2012... Wake up, people. Walk your own way in life.

  10. Hello! :) I follow you on Facebook and saw your blog. This sounds like a good holiday except...my bf is the one who did most of the stuff for Christmas this year! He made most of the supper, put out the decorations and put the decorations away! Lol... so there should be a holiday for ppl to relax AFTER boxing day... :P For all the hard working people I mean ;) Haha b/c I'm a girl but didn't work as hard. :(

  11. We should celebrate a woman having sex and getting knocked up? when did the baby ask to be brought into this world? It's going down the crapper, the global economy sucks there are no jobs, bills get more expensive, gas gets more expensive. Everything is more expensive so, yeah, thanks for bringing me into it I really appreciate your kind thoughtful consideration. I'm sure it had nothing to do with you being horny at the moment or anything.

  12. a bit late taking down your tree?! could get bad luck from doing that!

Sounds like a great idea. I'm not a mother yet but I find it hard juggling work, cleaning and "house responsibilities" (eg cooking the dinner) also shopping on top of this! I don't know how women cope with children on top of all these jobs!

It's in a males nature to forget to tell us how he appreciates us and we need a day as an excuse for a thank you!

Money isn't everything, open your eyes first commenter, the world is beautiful! We don't need money to survive :)

  13. christmas has nothing to do with jesus' birthday it's all money making lies! Besides any religion that turns people against another religion (is this case paganism) isn't worth believing in.
