I'd like to thank everyone for their beautiful posts about Signhild, and I got so sad for all of you who had lost a cherished animal too. This i s one reason I always try to be nice to people, even the evil ones; because I don't know their pains.
I love all animals, but cats have always been my favourite.
Signhild was really my dream cat come through if you only count the looks. I am very particular with looks (Adora - you really thought someone missed that?) and the second I saw her I was in heaven. And she got even more gorgeous when you got to know her personality. She was the best lap warmer ever :)
But I still have Prince Vinyl to cuddle <3 He's no lap cat, but he looooves being cuddled forever and ever.
His mum was a siamese and his dad a Birman. You can't really tell by this picture but he's got very good ear placement. He came second on the one and only CatShow he was in, as the second best domestic cat.

thats how u should think..life goes on...and ur cat is resting now...let her soul calm,im sure she wouldnt like her mistress being sad.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! What's the difference between a Birman cat and Siamese cat?
ReplyDeleteJust keep in mind Adora, you gave Signhild a great life, and are giving Prince Vinyl a great life as well. And you got to say goodbye to her, my kitty ran away without warning. :(
ReplyDeleteYou sould see mine (one of the few I am, currently, they are five sharing my mom's house but once I had seven cats^^) anyway, her mom is a wild cat who chose to come live in my house and her father was one of the biggest cat I ever had (poor cat never came back from one of his little trip in the forest) I saw her and her three brothers and sisters (all disppeared:() when their mother put them to earth, she called me at 5AM to help her (how cute) and when I saw her, I knew she'd be MY cat, she is black with little light brown dots everywhere and sîke like hairs on her forehead (like a punk) she's soo cute!
ReplyDeleteYours is not cute but beautiful looks different from the other cats, like a princess looks different from the other people (doesn't make sens, it's late in France^^)
Anyway, all my useless ramble to tell you, I lost many cats (never saw them dead, they all disappeared) and if the pain never goes away, when time passes by, you just remember the good things. Hope for you it will come soon.
You're taking it all so well. It's true life goes on... Your posts are you beautiful and I totally understand your pain. But she will always live, in your heart, as my pet did. Time makes it less painful, but you never forget. I'm sure that even though she was sick, she was happy to be in such a warm and nice family. She lived a good life, and that's what's important. Hope things will look up soon. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYour Prince is so beautiful! I just want to pick him up and hug him! He reminds me of my cat that was half Siamese and half Burmese (I think technically that made him a Tonkinese). My cat was so upset when I went away to college that when I would come home on vacations he would make sure to be in the same room as me but always have his back turned to me. He wanted me to know he was mad, haha! I had him for 12 years and lost him in '07 because of the contaminated pet food that was recalled.

I still miss him, but I believe that everything is made up of energy and, when things die, that energy goes into new living things. That may sound weird, but it comforts me to know that his energy is still out there and that he will always be in my heart.
Bat Brat Cat Hats Siamese Style!!!! PLEASE!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, it's been 8 years since we said goodbye to our siamese cat, Jinks, he had Leucemia and some kidney desease. Even it was my sister's cat, I lived wirh him since I remember, and when he had gone I just felt empty inside, he was the cat of my life, even now I've 2 dogs and another little cat I found (she is just 1 month old). I know how you feel, and I know it's hard to handle with this feeling, and It never leaves, but you find other animals who needs love and if you can have them and you want them you should have them. On the other hand you should have sometime on your own, to deal with it.
ReplyDeleteLots of hughs and kisses, Marina (Spain)
I've never had a real pet (only fish and birds, but you can't make a very deep relationship with them), so I don't know how it feels to loose that beloved animal, but I cas tell for your posts it's very hard. I'm sorry for all the pain you're passing through. But you know? People say that going through a pet's death is good, because it prepares you to confront other deaths in the future. Maybe that's true, I don't know, but I wish your lovely cat will always be in your heart.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cat! I'm so sorry for your loss. I have three cat's; a grey tabby named Binx after the cat from Hocus Pocus, an orange tabby named Garfield (and rightfully named so!), and a tuxedo named Tommie, who are all VERY spoiled, my cats are as important to me as my son (currently 6months old). I lost a cat a few years ago and it definitely is one of those things that leaves you absolutely heartbroken.
