Ungaro Fall 2011 Paris Fashion Week
I really loved the Ungaro Fall 2011, especially the lace dresses with the latex collars. Sheer genius!
Lace and latex fits us goths like a slaughtered horse in a glue factory every time.
But don't you think the models is a bit too skinny? Well, I like to look like this myself...but I can almost guarantee they don't eat according to Montignac...

WOW, some beautiful dresses, loved the full latex ones. I hope this means that we will be getting some latex and lace clothes on the highstreet. :)
ReplyDeletei also agree, the models are painfully thin. It was horrible to watch them.
Some of the things were fabulous! And I dont think the super skinny models were bad in any way, in fact I love those stick legs! *I wish mine were like that, haha*. (though its true most of them got to be like that by unhealthy methods)
ReplyDeleteYes I love the dresses! And I'm sure their diets only consist of coffee, cocain, and cigarettes. OK OK, that's an assumption/stereotype, but I'm sure it's not that healthy of a diet like Montignac.
ReplyDeleteThe dress just before the three minute mark is hot. And the last. All high rubber collars. Gorgeous. Thanks for posting! xoxo
ReplyDeleteslaughtered hooooorse xD omg adora
ReplyDeleteYeah, probably most of them are anorexic or pop pills like candies or both things. What a pitty. I look forward for the day models will have as different shapes as people in the world have. Anyway, yes, those dresses have a hint of gothic and fetish, gives us some good ideas!
ReplyDeletethey look like aliens to me, not in any way attractive, but then again it's not like they're supposed to tempt me, but to be as skinny as a coat-hanger so any piece of clothing will fit them...
ReplyDelete"A bit too skinny"? A couple of posts ago you said:
ReplyDelete"the skinny, on the verge to anorexic (not skin over skeleton) is a look that appeals to me"
That's an exact quote. Perhaps these models enjoy looking thin as much as you supposedly do? In any case, I don't think it's any of your business to judge or look down upon anybody's lifestyle choices. Eating according to Montignac does NOT give you that right.
Frankly I'm shocked that you, a person who supposedly encourages people to wear and eat what they want would then turn around and say such hurtful things...
Some of them looked skinny, but others looked downright skeletal. Either way, it's their choice, although it might be worrisome to us.
ReplyDelete@Lois - Adora said "Well, I like to look like this myself...", and she's not judging, but showing concern. Nothing seemed hurtful about it to me. Please take your internet tough guy drama somewhere else.
@raynebitch88: i totally agree, it seems someone somewhat hysterical liked to overreact unfounded
ReplyDelete@Lois There is also a type of peer pressure in the High fashion world, at lest in the USA there is. Nothing Adora said is hurtful, just out of pure concern, as raynebitch88 pointed out. Eating food and still being thin as to concern if the girls even eat are two different things. Learn to read things a bit more clearly before commenting rude remarks about something.
ReplyDeleteI hope you realize that these models are mostly 16-22 yrs old, and running around 12 hrs a day casting and shooting - very few people could manage that whilst being anorexic. Not fair to judge people you don't know.
