With Fairlight to pre-school

Another of our clones are about to join the treadmill for some 14 years or more...
Today I followed the unaware little lamb Fairlight to the slaughter, called pre-school, to meet with her inmates.
Mummy did her best to blend in with the other parents.
Many people ask me what kind of reactions I meet at situations like this?

Well, I don't take any notice, and try just to act like the usual me...but I can almost guarantee I'm the talk of every other parents dinner table that night...
The kids are scared I'm coming for them and the parents are scared I'm gonna make super cute and delicious cupcakes to win their kids over to the dark side.
I now have at least 6 years making all the kids in Fairlights class like me so they wanna go my way, the goth way. I recruit them young :)

  4. Well, if you raised Fairlight right (which I am sure you did), it's not going to be a problem. She'll know to be an individual. And hopefully, the other parents will be open-minded enough to not care what you chose to look like and use you as a positive example of being yourself and being happy with it!

  6. Wow. You have no idea how your words just set me free. Such a hard day, been judged so harshly and now to hear this just washed it all away....we have to be ourselves right??

  7. I wish my son's school had mom's like you because then I would have another awesome mom friend. I get looks from other moms a lot if I show up with glitter on my eyes or a cute bow headband or some bright colored outfit. I don't care; it's what I like! :)

  11. I don't mean to say that you don't look beautiful every day, Adora but today you look exceptionally so! I'm not sure what makes today different, but whatever it is, keep it up!

  12. I totally admire you, because you are for me a person that presents the goth culture and style of life in a friendly and normal way :) Keep it up and stay a role model to the future generation of Goths :D Love, Majda

  13. The people who really act obnoxious are the ignorant kind and I don't think your child wants to hang out with those! They will probably get used to you in time and if not your kid will know the ways of how people can act (maybe not the best thing for a kid but in the long run it could be useful).

  16. Oh wow, I wish your lovely youngest daughter good luck! You look amazing AND still "spooky" even though you toned it down. I love it- whenever I "tone it down", I just look like anyone else. I need some vampire fangs. :3 <3!

  17. You shouldn't have to alter your appearance to fit in with others. They wouldn't alter theirs to fit in with you and the door swings both ways.

This post makes me wonder something, however. I've actually been a fan of your videos and modeling for quite some time and a question has popped into my head every time you mention your children. Would you be disappointed if one of your daughters did end up more on the preppy/cheerleader side than a gothic princess? Or hell, even a number of any other things... a tomboy, or just a kid that likes ripped jeans and graphic t-shirts.

  18. @Cortney: Noooo, I wouldn't mind at all! Their life is not mine to live.
They choose their own outfits even now, but I sometimes give them hints of what matches better if we are about to go to a party. At school they are individual. My main concern (style-wise) is that I hope they dress proper and follow their style true all the way, no matter cross dressing or sporty :)
