Adora's 30 day challenge - stairs

I'm already eating healthy (Montignac Method) most of the time, but I hate to break a sweat.
Sure, I'm skinny enough, but I think my body would be even happier if I was in a tad better condition.
I will totally diss the elevator the next 30 days (for me that is at least 8 times every day) and run the 4 floors to out flat.
I'll race the kids!

Join me for a hell month (health month). If you have no stairs to run, run the first part to your work/school - just to get that blood pumping *yummie*
Goths around the world - join in for a hell month!
Let's be healthy just to spite everyone else and out-live them!

Need to buy that perfect Bat Brooch I'm wearing? Here's Pinkabsinthe's etsy.
She's got many unique things, enough to make a horde of goths to droole.

  1. I never ever use the elevator, haven't done in years except from when I've been drunk. You should keep on taking the stairs even after "hell month" is over, it's a great workout if you want your ass to be more firm!

  2. Hi Adora!

Ok, I take your challenge!!! I've been wanting to get more exercise, so I'll do it with you! I am going to add three days a week of yoga and two days of a Hula workout -- yes, as in Hawaiian dance. No, I'm not kidding!

Thanks for being my inspiration!!! And that bat broach is so adorable!!!

Hugs and more hugs from NYC!

  7. You should be lifting weights Adora, as should every woman. Women don't make the testosterone to produce bulk muscle you will NOT get bulked up in the least unless you literally shoot steroids into your butt. The think about resistance training (weights) is that it builds bone density which is critical for women as they get osteopenia and osteoporosis. Cardio is a great start though.

  9. I shall do this with you, even though I never take elevators (I'm terrified of them)but as a dancer I should do more exercise than what I do. 3 times a week is NOT enough, Dalestair!!!

  11. hahahah you're so funny and cute <3 in my house there are only 2 floors, so it's unuseful running there. I was thinking of my school (8 floors totally), but I think i would look like an idiot running upstairs and throwing people down xD ahah anyway, kisses from Switzerland!

  13. I'll join you by racing my puppy for the final third of our walks every day. I only live on the first floor of a flat with no elevator, stairs aren't a chellenge for me!

  15. I have no elevator at home, so every day down and up five floors... not that much, since I don't go up and down all day :)
But, my advice is, if you have never or it's been a while since you haven't done exercise, you shouldn't start running, but walking somewhat fast, otherwise your would get dizzy and start seeing dots again xD

  16. I'll definately join in on this. I can start on Monday when I have to run up and down the stairs at my campus while trying desperately to make it class to class.
    ^.^

That broach is lovely! Thank you for posting the link to it.
