Surgery on my bellybutton

I used to have the cutest little bellybutton.

First pregnancy destroyed the pretty little thing, but I had to wait until ALL of our kids were born until I could fix it.
I had surgery done, not of cosmetic reasons but because I had a hole in the stomach that needed to be sewn together.
When I removed the bandage I got a chock - it looked like a pigs snout! Even my friends laughed at me..
I could stand the oinking but it also started to hurt. Not in my heart, but in my tummy.
Everytime I had something tight around my belly, a skirt or a corset, it was like someone attacked me with 2 needles straight to the b.b. I couldn't do situps either.
I complained at the doctor who did the surgery and he said the problem was me beeing to skinny, having no fat to cover my b.b. Lots of bs if you ask me!

Finally another doctor took me serious and promised to perform another surgery to see what's wrong .
Today I got an open spot and had a surgery when I was awake. I was so afraid and he really had to dig deep.
But whiihooo! he found lots of left over stitches that should not have been there. He cut them out and hopefully I'll be wearing corsets soon again! I'm in pain right now, but hopefully no more.

Before todays surgery
The things found inside of me (not the knife though)
After surgery
I wonder what awful surprise will show when I remove the bandage. Hopefully it will be a cute little belly button again <3
I'm bleeding like crazy and hope I will (not) wake up in blood tomorrow.

  1. ouch last picture make me feel the pain ç_ç poor bellybutton, get well soon. I think the doctor who left those stitches inside you should not touch anyone anymore for f*** sake!!

  2. oh my god, he left non dissolvable stitches inside you?!?!? no wonder it hurt!! I bet you are relieved now, you will be able to be comfortable again in no time! Im recovering from an op at the moment too, yay blood, lol!

    jo xx

  3. That doctore obviously didnt know what he was doing since he left non dissolvable stitches inside you!, good thing they didnt cause a serious infection otherwise things could of been worse for you. Lucky you had the chance to repair your button and can now where gorgoues corset and other tight fun clotheing, if i lived in Sweden, i'd send you a get well soon card :).

  4. I don't think your bellybutton was particularly piggy-looking. It's cute!

But still, those stitches! Ugh eurgh my stomach hurts from looking at those. I hope it's all over now, and you don't have to go back for a third surgery.

  5. Yee-ouch! Hopefully you feel better. Can't wait to see the results :-)

  6. Ouch! It looks painful. I hope the surgury helps. Feel better soon! :)

  7. OUCH! That was awful to leave those inside of your BB. I know that you will be excited to unveil a beautiful BB. Feel better soon & speedy recovery.8)

  8. Wow, horrible! Once I had a sore throat and there was a fish bone stuck into my flesh, no one believed me till I made my parents take my to emergency and they pulled it out. Good on you for going to get another opinion

  9. Adora that is awful!!
Seriously, it's something out of a nightmare, I do hope u feel better soon though, and no blood soaked sheets in the morning.

  10. Autsh! God luck recovering hon!

  11. Oh my goodness! Are you going to complain to the original surgeon? That is scary...!

  12. thats so horrible,i hope youre feeling better soon, and you have your cute belly button back. that doctor sounds very unprofessional, especially telling you it was just because you were too thin.
i agree with the annonymous post, youre very lucky they didnt cause an infection.

  13. OMG!
I imagine the pain that you felt!! How did the doc realize that you have those stitches inside of you?

  14. I hope that you kept the stitches. I would put them into a clear glass, walk right into the doctor's office and put the glas on his table with the words "can you explain that to me?"

  15. Ouch that has got to hurt. I'm just surprised that you have such a great figure even after having three children, not to mention a cute bellybutton

Hi new reader here, Ms Adora. You have a pretty interesting blog.
