Todays make up

On the bus on my way to school. I have my pretty mini hat in my bag since it's winter with -10 degrees Celsius I wear my cosy Cat Hat outside to prevent neon red ears that might fall off if one sneezes.

Worst part of winter is you can't really be stylish and warm at the same time. I, who always priority style due to comfort, even have to surrender to soso clothes just for survival, because, let's face it, I just don't wanna end up dead.
But IF I end up dead it would kill me if I was bad dressed...

Todays make up

I have my bat stockings on today so I figured I'd let some escape and land on my face.
It looks a bit messy though...I didn't stop in time. I was simultaneously making cupcakes to my fellow classmates...
Raspberry and vanilla cupcakes turned out perfect though. One out of two isn't bad!
The make up looked better inside my head... but, hell, it works.

Of course something was wrong!

Since the place was more deserted than a outdoor toilet a hot summers day I went for a quest to find any living forms. At level 2 I found a life form, known as female humanoid. I explained my situation and she was very sweet and helped me out by calling the leader.

What came from that phonecall was a real anti climax: The time today was 9:00. No wonder I was the first one to show! The others we're still tucked in their coffins having a lovely time while I have:
1. Panicking over the bus not stopping where it was supposed to making me not know how to get there.
2. Finding the house my husband said I should find. Went in just to find out it was an ordinary school, with kids about 8-9 years. Okay, I might not be that smart, but I didn't think I was supposed to go to business school with that crowd..
3. Helpful teacher send me to the right direction.
4. Entered as the first one there and number
5. just to find out I was 1 hour too early...
And my paper clearly said 08:00.

Hahaha, it's a good start I can tell!
At least the teacher arrived just now, so now I know I'm on the right track for real.

Yes, I made it!

After a wild goose chase I finally end up in the right house (I think) - and was the first one to arrive according to a woman I met.
This makes me a bit worried though.... if I'm the first one here, is everyone somewhere else and I'm at the wrong place still?
(help!)

On a bus

Jumped out of bed happy as ever 05:10.
07:05 I'm on a bus on my way to school (will be every morning for the next 4 weeks). As you can see from the picture it's kind of in the middle of the night here in snowy Sweden.

Being born with the worst local sense ever imagined I just had my first PANIC ATTACK!
The bus will not stop at that place my husband carefully went through with me 4 times before bedtime yesterday. Gaahhh!
I just sent him a text to make me new travelplans from the new stop. If there will be no connection bus I will probably end up dead in a pile of snow since it's like a 20 minute walk in "some" direction....
At least time is in my favour for once.
Being known as the "Second Woman" (ref. Minute Man) I have lots of time to get me to the right place today. I'm known for entering trains 3 seconds before departure. That stuff always stress the hell out of my travel companions - but I say the point is to get on the train before it leaves, not how long before it leaves you have been there.

This will be very interesting to see where I end up today...

I'm down...

...with a fever! All day have been spent in bed sleeping, sleeping, coughing, blowing my nose 376 times and more sleeping.

Worst is I can't be sick now!

I'm starting a 4 week school tomorrow and need to be on my tippie toes.

I have prepared my bag with nostril spray, painkillers and throat tablets as well as an apple and more.

I will defeat this fever!

Hope everyone else is okay  :)

Doing the make up of Miranda X

The lovely daughter, Miranda, of my husbands best friend, W, landed her song straight at number 6 at the charts in the Swedish Radio chart and that made headlights and interviews since she is so young and already so popular. Her song is even more downloaded than Rhianna!
It's the talk of the town!

She invited her best frienthe shoot even better, and they were so good, kind and sweet to Miranda all the time. They all really showed real friendship to be able to be on the shoot all day.
We did 2 kinds of shoots, here is the second:

Thanks everyone for supporting your friend Miranda today! Can't wait to see the shoots! You were all so lovely to work with, and so beautiful.

Todays make up

On my way to have a meeting with Fairlight s teacher to know about her progress in school.
I hope I will only hear words as "perfect ", "kind", "happy", "friendly" and stuff like that.
But as a Goth mum I wouldn't mind hearing she tried to bite her classmates, play games where people are supposed to die and tell the kids scary stories about vampires, zombies and werewolfs so they can't sleep at night. That'd be okay too!
But most important is that she seems happy!

"Goth" gadgets: Candy blox

Well, this isn't a real "goth" item,  but since I'm a huge Lego-fan I decided everyone else who is goth loves Lego too. I simply putting down my foot saying it's so.
I can always claim that most goths are extremly creative, therefore we love Lego. And we are also fond of destruction - therefore we love Lego. The inventer of Lego must have been goth! Yeah, I will decide that.

Annnnyyyy whooo, I JUST discovered this amazing candy (you should not eat candy, but if you do, choose the impressive stuff). Lego candy!!!
The Lego company wasn't clever enough to come up with this idea themselves so they are called Candy Blox instead...but sure, it's a ripoff.
I've never seen them in Sweden.
They should make black liquorice ones as well, real goth candy.

Me answering a question: Your styling was better before!

Sweet Leah said in my comments:
"i think your styling was so much better just a few years ago, in my opinion.
you're still a beautiful woman no matter what, but the way i see it your style has virtually nothing in common with original goth anymore. especially as you always put the emphasis on old school electro/goth yourself. what you've been sporting more recently is becoming more like a teenager's style. :(

i know people will comment and hate me now... so: have fun with it, guys. keep in mind that i didnt mean this to sound rude though."

My Answer:
Leah - I can't but agree! I've became a couch potatoe when it comes to style!

You are totally correct in your views. I always appreciate when people poke on me with a stick so I can shape up! Thank's for the heads up!

Still, this week is crazy and to prevent myself from going into the wall I will take it easy, but on Monday I will do my best to re-invent myself (I do that every now and then) and my style.

I hope you will be pleased. Please give me feedback next week, Leah <3
(just bare in mind - I can't wear full lashes every day because I easily get allergy)

The day-to-day looks I'm the most fond of myself is:

Today's make up

I had a parental meeting today since TeeBee will start pre-school in August.
I have to beg your pardon of the make up since I took the pictures 5 minutes before bedtime and I look crazy tired! But I still think you get the general idea of the swirls.

..and I looked so sweet in gray too, so I made one like that as well :)

Pretty goth shoes: DIY

I have had a hard time getting the cool goth platform shoes I wanted.
Here's the story on how I got my new "homemade" shoes. Take some grown up by the hand as I let the story begin...
The shoes underneath have been my quest for a very long time.
I found them on a picture, but to find them "live" where I actually could buy them has been hell!
Here's my dream shoes:
I've gotten so many helpful tips from everybody that have read my call out for help but unfortunately I never found these exact ones.
The ones found was always too high and not shiny.
I wanted boots that were medium high - mainly because I often wear lace stockings and wanna show them off.
No use looking cool if noone can see it!
And I love glitz and glam so I need my boots to be shiny.

After failing like a snail trying to use powder for a matte look I just had to take my business elsewhere - and I found these:
Not what I was looking for - but they had potential!
When I goth them they were not as shiny as on the picture, but not as matte as leather look either.
They are so comfortable and are my absolute favorite boots ever (well, at the moment)!
I bought them with the intent of altering them.

This is what I did:
Snip snip
So much better
Ta-daa! Almost as they were supposed to be. I didn't want a satin bow, but that was all I had at home.
Now I have changed to what it was supposed to be to begin with: dirty white crochet lace bows. So cute!
Here is how they look on my lovely feet

I think there is some "Today's style" picture recently with the new bows.

Gingerbread house

Christmas is far gone...but the snow just landed in my town so we got a Christmas feeling and made a gingerbread house!

5 kids helped me to decorate it with tons of candy.

And then the kids have invited a few friends over for a gingerbread house slaughter!

I hope I can fight myself a blue candy.

It will probably look like a flock of hungry wolves attacking a small bird when the kids dig in.

Hope I'll have my fingers left afterwards.

Todays make up

I actually thought this would be the best make up everrrrr.

But it's more of a common BatBrat everyday make up...

Nothing in particular, but still sweet. You always got to love yourself!

This Friday I will have an additional child sleeping over (no, it's not my "sister").

My best friend L is kind enough to lend me her youngest to have a sleep over with TeeBee.  It will be fun!

Guessing there will be lots of Star Wars and Lego building going on.

So the girls can have a small sleep over by themselves as well.

Me?

I'll will be nailed to the sofa with the pretty boy's (known as my husband) lips glued to mine  <3

Friday I'm in love!

BatBrat design

Here's one of the first plates I made.

I love it!

It holds 60 degrees Celsius in the washing machine without problem.

I have made a few others (different text) before, but now my confidence is up and I will actually make a few for my (so far empty) etsy.com.

Todays make up

Nose is filled with nice, warm mucus.

Brain is filled with angry little men pounding on metal.

Someone used sandpaper in my throat and replaced my voice with a frogs.

Worst thing about having a cold is when your nose is running.

Very few make ups can survive a full day of blowing ones nose.

Not good if you are Goth and want to preserve that pale, half dead, look without having Rudolph 's red, shining, nose in the middle of your flawless face.

On one hand it can work to your favor!

If you manage to blow your nose to pop a blood vessel it can turn out like a really cool Goth make up. You know -  work with what you goth!

But to just be a bit red and ruffed around your nostrils will only make you look like a druggie, and according to me you might joke around about being a junkie, but please don't be.

Enough of "grown up" talk from me :)

Friday is up tomorrow and I will put a spell on you to wake up with an amazing bubbly and happy feeling inside and your hand will create the best make up you have seen and your smile will spread all the way back to me!

Can't belive how ego I am. Can't do anything good without demanding something back.

Dollhouse: Pool part 3

Chocolate box turned into a pool area!
It's just some minor details left. I'm thinking about adding some white tiles around the pools as well.

I should so win an award for this one!

Room design: Fairlight's Candy room

The Candy room is on it's way.

I so love the BIG candies! I felt like a midget holding one.

I just bought some gift wrapper and we stuffed it with wrinkled newspapers. 2 meters lasted for 3 bug ones.

We have saved a few cereal boxes as well, to make even more candy. I'm very exited to see what it will look like when we're done.

We will make some huge lollipops as well. This is fun!

Dollhouse: Pool part 2

First step done. I'm very impressed by myself so far!

Now it's time for some Lego time with my son TeeBee who's always home on Tuesdays. Suits me perfect today since I'm down with a small fever and massive headache.

Sneeze, sneeze and sneeze all day long. Poor me have not even make up on!

THAT'S how bad it is..

Dollhouse: Pool

The dollhouse needs a pool the kids said.

An old chocolate box, a roll from a tape and some print outs of grass, pool water and a brick wall might do it?

Will be interesting to see how this will turn out..
