Just took some new pictures in blue make up. I'm not a big fan of colorful make up, but it makes great photos. I only feel beautiful in black and white make up. Purple or reddish lipstick at the most.

I so have a M'era Luna clothing problem... and I have litte or no time to figure out a great outfit. At worst scenario I have to just grab something 2 seconds before leaving and work what I got. Haha, could be fun!

Those are just too cute. I have them in boots that I got from doing a fashion show. They are really comfortable. It's a Demonia shoe.

And WHY are there no cool and cute girly shoes with spiderwebs??

Finally home from my mother and her husbands house. We had such nice weather and the kids had so much fun :) Me? Well I always had my tube with sunblock within reach and my umbrella redy when I had to step out of the shadow... Nah, I had fun too chasing my kids with a water gun, plucking blueberries and talking to my 89 years old granpa Harry.

I just bought a new house hold machine online to make my baking easier :) Can't wait to get it! It's a Wilfa HM-400

Just back from a 2 hour standup comedy with Swedens best. I have cramps in my cheeks and a headache from laughing too much :) It was so funny, and it was just me and 4 of my girlfriends. We had dinner before and I choose cold-smoked salmon and dijon and ruccola potatoe-salad with green olives and  mustard hollandaise. It was soooo good.

Tomorrow I will leave for Kalmar (my old hometown) to go to Ölands zoo and funfair with the kids, then IKEA for a new table, then my mother and husbands house by the water to stay the night.

Weight loss

Okay, so - 1 kilo in 2 days, 200 grams the next one and 400 grams the next one again (today).

I still eat the same breakfast (20 minutes before breakfast: 1/4 Fuji apple.) Whole wheat puffs with fat milk and cinnamon, or scrambled egges with bacon, or fiber bread with philadelphia and ham and cucumber - as much as I want on all meals (VERY IMPORTANT). And always 3 dl water), and then a fruit or tea and a crispbread with something on at 9.30, then lunch at 11.30 -the days fattest meal, fat and fibres for me; veggies, eggs, meat, fish, fat cream...

Then something at 14:00; a fruit or crispbread. Dinner at 16.30 with "no fat": meat/fish, and lots of veggies.

And at 18 I eat something small too.

Before this decision to get back in weight (I can't wear half my wardrobe!) I also ate at 22 - often crisp bread with brie. Now I've moved my brie to the 18 o'clock meal instead, and my "extra kilos" just falls off by itself :)

Also I suffered from my ulcer before and that made me hungry all the time thus the extra weight.

Monticnac Method

And yes, I know that to most people I already look skinny, and I think I am too. BUT I like to look anorexic without being it (who want's to kill the brain?).

One fat lady to another: "Look at that ugly skinny bitch over there."
Other fat lady: "Yes, being that skinny is really ugly."
First fat lady: "..I wish I was that ugly...."
Other fat lady: "Me too."

This is so crazy - I stopped eating my 22:00 snack 2 days ago and already it payed off! I can't believe it - but I lost 1 kilo in just 2 days! This makes me wonder what the hell I ate before???
I changed nothing but that last meal. So dinner at 16:00 and then something small at 18:00 and then stop. And believe me, I do NOT go to bed hungry. I'm guessing I will not loose weight in that same rate now, but that's good, you should never loose weight too fast. AND never diet, just change to better eating (like the Montignac method). And I can also say that my ulcer seems gone :) Wohooo!

I also bought this skirt in Gothenburg. Not super special really but I needed a cool day-to-day skirt, and this was cute.

This freaking ulcer makes my body think I'm hungry ALL the time..now beach body 2010 are long gone.
My new trick (apart from taking the medicine) is to brush my teeth at 21:00 so I don't eat after that. I always get so hungry by 22:00, and that's no good.

Yesterday in Gothenburg I bought a new corset. I'm guessing this will be used at M'era Luna festival.

As if tomorrow morning, painfully early, I will go to Gothenburg. But just until Monday. A short trip. We are going to the Universeum with the kids to look at some sharks and so on. Hopefully they will stay calm on Monday long enough for me to go shopping. I have nothing to wear!!! I want something with bats or spiders.

I'm working on a new Adora BatBrat website. Today I got help from a professional to make the design look smarter. He made it look so me <3 Now it's time to make it function as well.
The plan is to have the new site up and running until the M'era Luna festival - woohooo!

Went to the doctor because of my belly button yesterday.
I had surgery 1½ years ago, and ever since I have had pain in it when wearing something over it (skirt lining/corsets or even by sleeping on my stomach). Everytime in a corset is so painful for me ever since. But now I'm on a waiting list, so hopefully it will be better this fall.

Always when I've done my situps it hurted like hell, so I haven't done any for weeks because I was afraid, but now she reassured me I can do it without problem.

So from today - 100 situps/day every day until M'era Luna. M'era Luna body of the year ;) Time to lock in my guts!

Adora BatBrat: Make up Artist

This is how she looked before. She is a very pretty model from Sweden Models, Malmö.

Today (Tuesday) I'm in Lund's Hospital for another check up on Fairlights disease, Juvenile Dermatomyositis. The whole family will travel with her, and after we will go to Malmö so I can check out the fashion and by me some new haircolor :)

This morning I did the make up on a first time 14 years old model. She looked like a doll when I was finished, and she was very good with the posing and facial expressions. It was very fun to watch. Perhaps she will be in Paris next year ;)

A Goth girls best friend is the underbust satin corset. This should be item #1 in your wardrobe. Make sure it's a good quality. I loooove mine and use it a lot.

I'm so stressed out because of a headache and a f-ing Photoshop that won't work with me today. I had to re-do a picture from the beginning and it takes forever. I'm 2 steps away from being done, but I really MUST go to sleep now otherwise my work tomorrow will suffer. I want to finish now, but the smart thing is to hit the pillow.

I'm doing one of the prints for the t-shirts that was the winners. I hope you will like it. Some small adjustments though: the eyes will be white and I'm thinking of removing the black bows and add smaller white to the sleeves instead?

I'm a member of an 18'th Century society via the museum, and our museum decided to use THIS picture of me on their tourist folder this year! I think they are mad!

I've made tutus before, but I want one that stands out by itselves without droop. Is it just to trust the material or is there some secret involved?

Okey, okey, here is a picture of me in my new bikini. An ordinary strap bikini á la 70's. Nothing special at all. Now I will just figure out how to goth pimp it with lace, ribbons, "diamonds", bows. Perhaps I'll add a spider or a bat somewhere...

I have to make some ruffle or lace in the upper front because I just noticed my caesarean section shows (I have a caesarean section because our first pregnancy was VERY complicated, with big risks for Synthia who was controlled twice a week to make sure she didn't get heart failure. She would never had survived a normal birth anyway, but we had an urgent c.s. 7 weeks too early, she only weight 1830 grams and we had to live at the hospital for 11 weeks and 3 days because she forgot to breath sometimes).

Bikini trouble

Where on earth can I find a goth bikini??? I've searched the web, e-bay and regular stores.

I have a boring black, and a sweet black and white striped and a white with lots of red hearts on it (it looked so cute when I had pink hair). But I want a more goth black on black.... lace, ruffle, bling, goth princess'ish, spiders, bats - anything!!

This is my favourite model, but it needs to be gothed up!

I have ugly black bikinis in my wardrobe - perhaps I can make them look better with some ribbons...

Not to brag or anything ^^ but this is my view from out flat this morning.

It was a lovely day and the kids were just too pretty when we all celebrated the day with her <3

Back home Synthia made us all a candy cake filled with strawberrys. It was super nice!

BatBrat's t-shirts

Once again I'm gonna ask you to help me out. Considering I still have the prettiest readers <3 I can put all my trust in you because of your style sence!

It seems like there will be some Adora BatBrat t-shirts in the webshop as well as some of the other objects seen in the video (yes - the heart blouse and collar and necklace is in for sure thank's to the viewers). I have absolutely NO idea what shirt will be attractive since I'm partial?
The model will be as this one: slightly puffed short sleeve, slightly bigger neckline (so we won't smudge our make up and destroy our hair!), bit slimmed and two organza bows. The picture designs is not finished, it will be things added or removed.

Top 3 perhaps? Or the one you wouldn't be caught dead wearing? Change of color? Bigger/smaller picture?

Asperger Synthdrome

I'm cutting and slicing the live performance I did with my band Asperger Synthdrome at last weeks festival. I want to make it short, otherwise it will be boring to look at and unfortunally the sound from my camera wasn't the best (yeah, try to fool people THAT'S why it sounds awful - you sing like a dead carrot you stupid girl! No camera in the world could fix that! But still, Adora - you looked great "singing").

My day:

started with me re-coloring my hair pastel purple. As I got out of the shower I slipped on some water and sprained my left ankle. Wrapped it in real tight as fast as I could to keep it from swollen.

Then I jumped in my SAAB 9000 CSE to a mother who wanted help with her daughters wedding dress. After 2 hous I had to get back home.

At home I prettied myself up in front of the mirrow, and 16:00 my friend Magnus (from the swedish, but internationally known electro band Colony 5) came over to take some pictures of me. They turned out quite pretty i might add! :) Colony 5 played the Wave Gothic Treffen this year, and will also play at M'era Luna in August.

Then I filmed some, and now I'm so tired I feel like I'm about to fall asleep in the middle of this sentence...but I wo....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm making puff pastry horns for the kids and I'm getting crazy from searching after my nougat!!! I'm starting to think my husband had something to do with it....

Okey, I have to figure something out. Perhaps whipped vanilla cream with nutella instead? Yeah, they'd like that...or strawberry jam and whipped cream... No, nutella it is.

This is a real cheat-baking! Not my thing really, but I have to clean out my freezer and I haven't got the time either. But they deserve something special - it's FRIDAY!

My new fangs :) And yes - they are "real"...in the meaning they can't be removed without me going to the dentist. My dentist said, after he finished, "-They are brutal!" And I can only agree!

Shit! My new fangs are so long I can't even eat crackers and brie! I have to break the crackers to pieces. Holy macarony! I think you deserve a photo tomorrow :)

I've been away all day on a business-trip :) Got up at 03:00 - it's sick!
Tomorrow I have an early appointment at 07:10 with my dentist to get my fangs freshened up. Hope they will turn out fine and sharp. I always tend to bite my lip when I've re-done them. Dangerous!

Vince Festival

I have absoulutely NO idea how to do my make up on stage tomorrow!? Perhaps my sister have some great idea?
I feel like I wanna look kind of NOT so much things in the face, no swirls or spiderweb, just "ordinary" goth make up. But later, after our gig, I want to "Adora" me. That might sound strange cause most people will most certanly have an extended version of themselves on stage, but I want to do it reversed for some strange reason. Maybe my sister can whip it out of me.

Vince Festival

I'm so happy about a "secret" I'm gonna announce on stage on Saturday!

And then I'm totally stressed out about my own performance. We only sing 5 songs, but I have an extreme short memory (for real, it's a BIG problem for me since I never remember people or names. I'm always so scared I'll offend someone), so it's awful for me to remember the texts. I think I have to Scotch some notes on the floor.

Disgusting - be aware!

Yesterday our daughter Fairlight did a SUPER-PUKE! My husband was away so I had to take care of it! Ick!

She puked all evening, poor thing, but the rest ended up in a bowl. The first one landed on her, the sofa and the floor, about 50 centimeters in diameter. I almost died mopping it up!

And then I got panic! What if I get sick!!! I'm having a festival on Saturday, I can't be sick now! Well, if I get sick today that will probably be okay, and then I will also look extra thin on stage ;) You see, I always think positive..

Men

Yesterday I think I got a dab on the head!!!

You know how sometimes you're in a situation where you really can't figure out what's going on, but later it's something about it that disturbes you about the situation? That happened to me yesterday.

The thing with these things it that the signals are so subtle you can't even tell that person he/she is far out...because then you're a fucking whine who took it the wrong way...
And I must say I was so surprised this person felt so intimidated by me, that I could not defend myself!
But if I feel I got a dab on the head, I got it! It's in the eye of the receiver.

And, no, it was NOT my husband..

The Swedish electro scene

One thing: I really dislike people who think you can live on old qualifications! "-I used to be cool too, and had black nails and make up." Ok, so??? Do it now then and I'll respect it. I can understand people who doesn't do it everyday because of work, but what about clubnights?
The electro scene in Sweden is dying - and I can understand why.
Who want's to be a part of something where most active are older (like me), fat and stuck up to believe they are better then someone new to the electro scene just because they happened to be teens in the 80's?

I became part of the electro subculture because of its fashion, its amazing haircuts and the make up as well as the music. If Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode had looked like this sailorboy I would never had payed any attention. Kids needs people to look up to, to romanticise about, to be their rolemodels. I for sure, can't feel resembles to "ordinary" looking people. Dave sat my heart on fire, and by 1981 he had sweet make up and a nosepiercing.

To stop the Swedish electro scene from going straight to the grave we need to show the younger public we still are a part of this subculture. For GOD's sake - use the kohl kajal, not just talk about how cool you used to be when you used it. Being old is NOT about being stuck up and yawn. Where did the happiness and the creativity go? THAT my friends is why the Swedish electro scene is dying.... (Adora in a mood)

EUROVISION 2010 WINNER - GERMANY - Lena "Satellite"

Tonight I'm really happy for Germany's Lena who won Eurovision Song Contest. She was one of my fav's! Congratulation GERMANYYYY!!! My other fav's was Turkey and Ukraine.

Stumbled over this picture - and, ahhhh, how I miss my blue hair. It looked so gorgeous in the cityscape.

And todays best make up tip is: if you wake up with a red eye - use red make up to make it less obvious. Everyone will just look at that red make up and be horrified. You can also make it look like you cry blood.

What's my style (if any)?

I have a dilemma!
Sometimes I get asked what's my style. In my head I think "Easy, I'm a "synthare" (swedish for electro-oriented subculture)."
But outside of Sweden there is no such word as "Synthare". So I'm guessing electro-goth for the music.
But how to describe my looks?

Based on my videos for example - what would one call my style.
Me, myself, think the style is swedish gothic lolita with some elements from military and new romantic style...with a tad of visual kei???? But that takes VERY long time saying...
How would you describe my style? I'm lost!?
