Right now

Me and my cute sister on my balcony right now :) Ha ha, we look like tourists in Turkey or something!!

Ihhh - tomorrow is when we'll be on stage with our band Asperger Synthdrome playing for the first time. We'll be at the Vince Festival, Karlskrona, Sweden. But, of cause, I will put it up on youtube later :)

Vince Festival

I have absoulutely NO idea how to do my make up on stage tomorrow!? Perhaps my sister have some great idea?
I feel like I wanna look kind of NOT so much things in the face, no swirls or spiderweb, just "ordinary" goth make up. But later, after our gig, I want to "Adora" me. That might sound strange cause most people will most certanly have an extended version of themselves on stage, but I want to do it reversed for some strange reason. Maybe my sister can whip it out of me.

Vince Festival

I'm so happy about a "secret" I'm gonna announce on stage on Saturday!

And then I'm totally stressed out about my own performance. We only sing 5 songs, but I have an extreme short memory (for real, it's a BIG problem for me since I never remember people or names. I'm always so scared I'll offend someone), so it's awful for me to remember the texts. I think I have to Scotch some notes on the floor.

Disgusting - be aware!

Yesterday our daughter Fairlight did a SUPER-PUKE! My husband was away so I had to take care of it! Ick!

She puked all evening, poor thing, but the rest ended up in a bowl. The first one landed on her, the sofa and the floor, about 50 centimeters in diameter. I almost died mopping it up!
And then I got panic! What if I get sick!!! I'm having a festival on Saturday, I can't be sick now! Well, if I get sick today that will probably be okay, and then I will also look extra thin on stage ;) You see, I always think positive..

Men

Yesterday I think I got a dab on the head!!!

You know how sometimes you're in a situation where you really can't figure out what's going on, but later it's something about it that disturbes you about the situation? That happened to me yesterday.

The thing with these things it that the signals are so subtle you can't even tell that person he/she is far out...because then you're a fucking whine who took it the wrong way...
And I must say I was so surprised this person felt so intimidated by me, that I could not defend myself!
But if I feel I got a dab on the head, I got it! It's in the eye of the receiver.

And, no, it was NOT my husband..

The Swedish electro scene

One thing: I really dislike people who think you can live on old qualifications! "-I used to be cool too, and had black nails and make up." Ok, so??? Do it now then and I'll respect it. I can understand people who doesn't do it everyday because of work, but what about clubnights?
The electro scene in Sweden is dying - and I can understand why.
Who want's to be a part of something where most active are older (like me), fat and stuck up to believe they are better then someone new to the electro scene just because they happened to be teens in the 80's?

I became part of the electro subculture because of its fashion, its amazing haircuts and the make up as well as the music. If Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode had looked like this sailorboy I would never had payed any attention. Kids needs people to look up to, to romanticise about, to be their rolemodels. I for sure, can't feel resembles to "ordinary" looking people. Dave sat my heart on fire, and by 1981 he had sweet make up and a nosepiercing.

To stop the Swedish electro scene from going straight to the grave we need to show the younger public we still are a part of this subculture. For GOD's sake - use the kohl kajal, not just talk about how cool you used to be when you used it. Being old is NOT about being stuck up and yawn. Where did the happiness and the creativity go? THAT my friends is why the Swedish electro scene is dying.... (Adora in a mood)

EUROVISION 2010 WINNER - GERMANY - Lena "Satellite"

Tonight I'm really happy for Germany's Lena who won Eurovision Song Contest. She was one of my fav's! Congratulation GERMANYYYY!!! My other fav's was Turkey and Ukraine.

I'm making pattern and cutting silk fabric :)

Stumbled over this picture - and, ahhhh, how I miss my blue hair. It looked so gorgeous in the cityscape.

And todays best make up tip is: if you wake up with a red eye - use red make up to make it less obvious. Everyone will just look at that red make up and be horrified. You can also make it look like you cry blood.

What's my style (if any)?

I have a dilemma!
Sometimes I get asked what's my style. In my head I think "Easy, I'm a "synthare" (swedish for electro-oriented subculture)."
But outside of Sweden there is no such word as "Synthare". So I'm guessing electro-goth for the music.
But how to describe my looks?
¨
Based on my videos for example - what would one call my style.
Me, myself, think the style is swedish gothic lolita with some elements from military and new romantic style...with a tad of visual kei???? But that takes VERY long time saying...
How would you describe my style? I'm lost!?

First song by Asperger Synthdrome

Yesterday while the kids watched children's programme I went into the bedroom and sung one of the songs we'll perform (Asperger Synthdrome = me and sister) at the Vince Festival. I sing like crap! But the music my friend did is really catchy and makes my feet wanna dance. It could be a bit harder though. Let's see how next song ends up! Here it is!!!

Vernissage

The vernissage was a total hit! We got on the news, 2 newspapers, and additionally one today! And all gave us fantastic reviews!
See the clip here.

Exhibit

Mercy me! The exhibit is SO much work.
I do it together with my best friend. She is educated in stuff like this; setting an exhibit to make it have a nice flow. I feel so incapable in this area...

I do most of the print-outs and computer-related things, and she do the more hands on things. It feels like I do nothing, since all I do is just sit there in front of the stupid computer.
Of cause that is ecual work, but it feels so small in comparison..

Friday is opened to the media, and Saturday at 13:00 is vernissage. All of you in my neighbourhood are most welcome - it's an open vernissage!

Lump

I noticed a lump on my throat, behind my left ear a week ago.
Today I noticed another - on my neck.
And also I got some really strange stomach pain yesterday.

I sure hope it's just stress related because of the exhibit.
I don't have the time to see a doctor yet.

As seen we started setting the exhibit today and my friend thought I should be in one showcase....
(Sorry about my blue muffin socks - we had washday today)

Exhibit

This morning I thought I had it figured out - how to program the sheets for the exhibit.
But then I forgot how I did it - WTF?! Rest of the day was spent to try to remember. But, nah...

I felt so stupid!
After like 67 trial and errors I found a working way - but there's no way in hell this is the "fight" way - it's to complicated.

The papersheets are to be 90 x 150 centimeters, 200 dpi.
The area of the text is 50 x 142 centimeters
The text is Arial, size 47.
The text must be tabbed, so I made it in Words, even though I can't get the sheet as big as I need. That didn't work, so I pasted it in Power Point instead, and tried as good as I could to tab it.. Then saved it to a pdf, opened it in Photoshop and copied. That works. Takes some time, but can be done.
But this can't be the easiest way???
If there is any computer wiz out there - HELP ME!!!

Thursday, May 6, 2010

My computer will not co-operate while doing the texts to the exhibit. My brain will surely melt if I don't figure this out. Sometimes I hate computers!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

This weekend we'll start setting the exhibit - and not all the art-artists have pulled through so I'm starting to panic! And I'm falling behind as well... I'm gonna age 10 years this upcoming week. Send me some strength, please!

Monday, May 3, 2010

Today I applied to school! It's textile orientation. I need to get better at sewing I think. Wish me luck :)

Sunday, May 2, 2010

I'm currently editing my new video. It's so fun to do :) Here's a sneak!

But all off a sudden some polish man came in and hit me in the head with a frying pan (not for real, but it feels like it when you ge dead tired in a second!). So now I have to stop editing and start sleeping to get a good start of next week. Crap! I think I'm coming down with a cold too...

Saturday, May 1, 2010

Thank you all for the design help - it was very nice of you to help me out. Hopefully I can make a pretty top now :)
So far I have colored my hair. Later I'm gonna film a new video featuring how I make my eyebrows.

Montignac Diet

As I'm sitting here eating brie, blue cheeze and finn crisp I came to think about the "safe" evening snacks at Phase 1.

What you always needs to have at home while in the first phase is >70% chocolate. Since you cut out all the sugar and sweetening you 'll need something if you get a craving - just a small piece though...

At evenings if I'm in the mood for something to eat, more luxurious, here's some tips:
* different cheese (brie, white/blue cheese) and finn crisp (or other fiber cracker with no sweetening)
* whipped cream, fresh berrys (straw-, rasp-, blue-berries) perhaps with some >70% chocolate splinter
* sliced apple with cinnamon in the micro until warm and mushy, served with lightly whipped cream and chopped almonds
* fruit salad (apple, pear, orange), whipped cream
* a handfull of nuts

This weeks party

Me and my sisters cute boyfriend Mattias have the same kind of handbag! Isn't that just too cute!

It was at the Leather Strip concert in Karlshamn.

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Guess I'm awake now, after yesterdays fabulous concert with Leather Strip! It was so good!

The only bad thing was that the guests didn't try hard enough with their looks. Well, there was no butt ugliness, still some stylish boys wearing the classic black shirt with tie; some red, some white, some striped in And One colors, some black. That was nice indeed - BUT - I'd like some more impressing hairdo's and MORE make up on the boys. Only a handful had found their black eyepencil I'm sad to say.

The girls did much better; I saw lashes, dreads, corsets and cool footwear...but as you know I'm never fully happy until people go ALL the way and dares to try-to-hard! But there were some very cute girls there :*
I intended to tell them, but I didn't find the time as I was in some fashinating dialogues. But if you might read this - you were really pretty <3

I will post pictures later, but now I'm gonna shape up, put on a übercool make up (yeah, right - as if I can be THAT cool) and meet up with friend Jennifer to go over the exhibit I'm the project leader of. She is a glass artist who will have her work shown. She is one cool girl I tell you!

Here's me and Jennifer at Depeche Mode 2001.

Leather Strip tonight!

It's 16:20 and I will go to a concert with Leather Strip later! Wohoooo.
Just a small panik - I only have my foundation and rouge on, and it's less then 3 hours until we leave! Where's my brown paper bag?!

Right now I will make dinner - tonights special is fillet of beef served with home marinated tomatoes and a green salad. The kids will also have a potatoe gratin with garlic. I will of cause have red wine to the meat, and after it's "för-fest" (pre-party) while I do my make up. I will not, I reperat - NOT, be sober tonight.

Hopefully I will have some okay pictures to show...

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Why the hell don't they do this one for girls? We don't just wanna look like fluffy and romantic. I would buy this..

This can be bought at X-tra-x (Germany) for €79. They deliver all over the world. BUT - they have looooong waiting time...

And I also think this is a perfect Adora wallet! Spiderweb - yeah! But I'm very perticular about the inside of the wallet, it needs to have place for many pictures, so that's why I have a plain vinyl right now... €8 on X-tra-x.

Vince Festival

I can now verify that Covenant will be the main act at my Vince Festival.

Other bands to play is: Mergel Kratzer, Colony 5, Voister Litz and me and my sisters newly started band: Asperger Synthdrome.

Just got off the phone with Eskil (singer of Covenant) and I'm so looking foward to their concert!

Montignac diet

I eat according to his first book (not sure about it's english name, but the swedish could be translated to "I eat - therefore I get thin").

There is a Phase 1 - the weightloss phase, and Phase 2 - the stabile phase.

At Phase 1 (and always) you should start every meal with about ½ an apple/pear or some berries. Why? To prevent the blood sugar fall you get after a dinner when your body concentrates on to take care of the new food. This causes you to want some sugar since your body starts feeling slow. By adding a bit of a sugar-rush in advance, you won't get that craving.

Then the big nono's is: potatoes, white rice and pasta, couscous, boiled carrots, corn, grapes, water melon, everything containing wheat flour, NO sugar OR sweetener (candy, soda, juice, cakes, bread, honey, glucose....), no alcohol, no light products, coffee/tea, nothing with carbohydrate over 50 (or 30 dependig on how hard you want to go). I usually go by 30, because I'm done with it quicker and can get back to eating those cream sauces I like in Phase 2 :)

And as I said, no counting. If you want to eat 11 beef steakes with broccoli - go for it. The point is to eat until you feel full.

I keep the fat level down in Phase 1, so a normal dinner can be homemade beef, tomatosauce made from ovenbaked tomatoes with red paprika and red onions with a pinch of garlic and fresh basil that's been mixed to a sauce, served with boiled broccoli and mixed fresh salad (if in Phase 2 I add a dijon cream sause).

According to Mr. Montignac lunch should be the days fattest meal. So an omelette with tomatoes, spring onion, muschrooms and cheese is a good lunch.

Important: your brain needs fat, so by eating "no" fat in Phase 1 that's not really true. Meat contains fat, and you can eat plain cream or creme fraiche sauce if you want. As long as you don't mix fat with carbohydrates you're fine.

I eat fat and fibres (you can also eat fibres and carbohydrates - but absolutley NO fat (meat, cream) to that).

I'll write down what you can eat if you want something for an evening snack tomorrow!

Montignac diet

Many people reacted about my Montignac diet.
To tell off the ones saying I'm anorexic - let me explaine:
Many years ago I ate lots of crisps and a bit too much sugar (like in pie/tarts/desserts. Never been a big fan of candy or ice cream), but still homely cooking.

By cutting out the sugar and most of the fast carbohydrates you get headache and feel tired - it's an abstinence result from my body wanting the drug: sugar (also carbohydrates transforms to glucose/blood sugar).

I then developed a painfun gastric catarrh, and was advised to change diet since I ate too much fat.

I started the Montignac diet about 10 years ago and it solved my problem and still let me eat as much as I like without causing me tummy problems. Around friends I'm known to eat humungous amounts of food (but I also poo a lot)! I know it's hard to believe, but according to studies fat people tend to eat less then 3 meals a day - I eat 6.

1. Montignac diet is a lifestyle, not a crash diet.
2. I hate complicated diets. Now I change the potatoes for broccoli and that's it.
3. By eating 6 times a day I never get hungry to the point I'd eat anything in reach.

I have been eating "non-Montignac" - a bit too much cookies and crisps lately (the easter holiday...), so I have not only gained a little weight (about 1½ kilo) but also my gastric problems are occurring again. And instead of eating medine I change my way of eating to a better way. Well, I have to start off by eating a few tabletts to help little tummy get started. Changing diet is to decrease, instead of increase, the gastric problem.

Situps is a must for me since I suffer from backproblems as most tall people, and that my pregnancys killed what was left of it. 100 a day, a few back work outs and a movement to lift the butt (THIS is only for looks - I AM 37 you know....)

I hope "Anonoymous" gets a better picture of me now.
But sure - I like to LOOK anorexic, but being is not healthy - so yes, I hope people who likes to be skinny takes after me and eat healthy, lots and still gets skinny. I think that is a much better idea then to eat orange-jucie dipped cotton to swallow, to make your tummy feel full so you can stop the hunger, as I know many high fashion models do. What those stupid girls don't know is that you have to surgically remove the cotton later. My broccoli, meat and cream sauce goes out the normal way.

I will explain more about the Montignac diet later.
But I like when people are critic and not just accepting, so I welcome those anonymous :)

Montignac diet

Ahh, being back in Phase 1 of the Montignac diet is causing me headache, making me feel weak and dead tired. It's time to get the M'era Luna body of the year!

Montignac breakfast tips:
20 minutes before breakfast eat 1/4 - 1/2 apple/pear.
Do at least 40 situps while waiting ;)
1. Bread without any wheat flour or sweetening (hard bread or dark with fibres), cream cheese, ham and tomatoe (as many as you like to feel full). Drink 3 decilitres of water or weak tea.
OR
2. Scrambled eggs and bacon (nothing else). Water or weak tea.
OR
3. Porridge of extra fibre oatmeal, berries such as: blueberry/strawberry/raspberry or other berry - Burberry ;) ? serve with diluted milk and drink water/weak tea.

I got a new fanart yesterday, by Riley Shortt. Hihi. Cool!

Here's one I made of myself a couple of years ago :) Riley's is so much better!

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

The train ride was tiresome. Many people have seen me snoring with my mouth open today I guess...
I got up at 04.30 to do my hair and make up - I always aim to look stylish even if that means being totally tired all day long. I hope I pulled off an ok Adora look... Now I will got some well earned beautysleep!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Wednesday: Time for the hospital in Lund again with daughter Fairlight who suffers from Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM).
I have to get up at 04.30 to have time for my make up and doing our sandwiches with fried eggs. I'm always so tired on those train trips...it takes me all week to feel normal again. Hello jet lag ;)

Fangs

My fangs is beginning to be worn down and my old tentist works somewhere else, so I need to find another one who'll be nice enough to help me get new fangs.
I had a consulting meeting today, and most likely I will get a new one to re-make my fangs. He thought it was a very "interesting case"... bit odd, but doable.
Picture is NOT me!

Monday, April 12, 2010

Me, being totally un-goth (so, slaughter me and eat me, russian goths) just can't help falling in love with this wall-paper from designer Klaus Haapaniemi. I wouldn't have it in my home - but I still find it amazing.
I LOVE HEARTS!

Fairlight birthday bash #1

To eat:
Buffet: fillet marinated in dijon mustard, horse raddish plus caper
potatoe sallad with sour cream and dill
tzatziki
mozzarella and tomatoes with basil and freshly ground black pepper
mixed sallad

Mini semla
2 small cookies
Pink birthday cake with strawberries and orange-whipped cream

She got so many presents :) It's so lovely to see their happy faces. Mummy loves <3
She got red patent leather shoes, Hello Kitty muffin game, dolls, cute skirt, dinosaurs, tattoos and so on.
Tomorrow she'll have a cat-party for her daycare friends :)

Flour on black

So..what is a goth princess doing on a Friday?
Apparently baking...
Today I've made cat cakes, oak cookies, a sponge cake for the birthday cake. Earlier this week I made egg-looking cakes, mini-semla and some heart cookies. I'm still 2 cookies off for the 7-cake-rule...(birthday cake doesn't count).
Tomorrow we'll have the relatives over to celebrate Fairlight who is turning 5 on Sunday and I will not follow the 7-cake-rule. WHAT?! ARE YOU CRAZY WOMAN!! Why is because I'll serve a small buffet as they arrive, and that plus 7 cakes and a birthday cake can be bit too much.. But for Sunday, at her cat-party with her daycare friends, I will make sure to serve 7!

Today we got a call from her doctor in Lund that told us her latest tests looked good, so now we'll reduce the Prednisolon from 1.25 milligrams every night, to just 1.25 every other night (she will still have her other medicines). She got so happy about it :)
(She suffers from a very rare form of a soft tissue rheumatic disease: Juvenile Dermatomyotosis, JDM).

Looking foward to see my family tomorrow :)

Shopping tip

H&M have this super cheap lace linen. Use it under a corset, add a few crosses and lace gloves for a nice day out.
Baked cupcakes with Fairlight for her birthday celebration on daycare tomorrow. I didn't put my soul in the decorating, but I pimped them enought for kids to be totally impressed :) They taste like lemon and she also put a piece of chocolate in the middle. I made them blue, red, purple and orange. Mummy-points!

A poison flask necklace

After I told you people about Allison's delicious poison flask she did put them on etsy for you to buy for $8.00 USD!
She was even nice enough to give me one for free since I put it up here - that is just too cute <3 I can't wait to get it! Just can't decide on what color... you can choose between black, green, red and yellow. I think I'll go with black...but I might just buy a red and green one later...

A poison flask necklace

One of my Facebook friends made this fantastic neckless! What goth wouldn't wear this?! Allison Hausner on FB - perhaps she's got them for sale?

Jesus is a vampire

It's a slow Sunday.

Today Jesus got back to life - woooho, cool.
I guess he turned into a vampire then?
He died, there was people drinking blood involved, he got back to life and lives forever...? If that's not a vampire I don't know?!
Has anyone ever seen him smile on any paintings so we can see the fangs???

From this day and foward I now decide that Jesus are in fact a vampire. AND that's the reason why I consider myself a Christian!

Saturday, April 3, 2010

About to hit my pillow. Today I've been at a nice dinner at a friends house. Between us we have 5 kids so you can imagine the action going on!

Later I did a test-make up and hair on a friend of mine who is gonna get married in May. She is an ex-electro goth and wanted to look less normal. She picked out a picture from a book and I tried to make her look just like it. She got so pretty! She looked just like Nina Hagen! SOOOO PRETTY <3 The best part was that she and her husband to be both really liked it, it made me very happy. They are just so in love - it's too cute.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

My egg cookies! They do look almost like the real thing, don't they?
Easy to make too. I made some extras to Fairlight's 5'th birthday coming up in 1½ week. I usually serve 7 kinds of cookies/pastries for birthdays. Is that a swedish thing or do you have the "7-cake-rule" in other countries too??
I'm gonna buy some paint for this evenings easter crafting at school. I'm a classparent. Also I have to bake something...I will try to make some egg-looking cookies.
I hope I remember to take pictures!

Also I will have a meeting with those important business men later. I do not know what to expect - or what they expect from me?! I just hope they like the Adora-shimmer of bats :)

Monday, March 29, 2010

I was searching for some corset tips when I stumbled over this picture. My God I hope my corsets doesn't make my ass look that big! In Sweden big asses is NOTHING to wish for.
But theese are absolutely something to wish for! Wow, I must try making them sometime. Corset cookies <3 Perhaps they will give you a big ass?
My new video is up! It's only 1 minute, but still...
Check it out!
Crap! I was about to post my new video on youtube - and that function was down for maintenance at the moment :( Will have to wait till tomorrow

New youtube video

Today I'm making a new youtube video. A VERY short one about the Anadin Brothers style. You already know it - but I want all goths to acknowledge their style. Perhaps that can buy me some time to finish my next craft video that is only half done...

Saturday, March 27, 2010

And for my husband I'm gonna buy this from H&M.
It's a nice shirt for him to wear at work.
Can be bought here at H&M's onlineshop.
Just re-colored my hair. Gonna cut the bangs as hair is dry.
Then some time in front of the mirror to create todays face.
Out on town to buy a present to my dad. He wants a shortsleeved shirt with a pocket. The pocket is to keep his cigarettes in. I do not like when people smokes. It smells bad and make your face look older then you are. And it shortens his life..
I found this nice white shirt, shortsleeved - with a front pocket, with small black stars 0,5 centimeters scattered and in small groups. It looks really cool, and a bit trendy.

The sneak-listening of my commercial is to be found on my Facebook. I couldn't get it posted here...
Adora BatBrat's facebook
Tonight I'm gonna post a sneak-listerning of my commercial-song :) It's so sad you can't hear the whole song, it's kind of cool :)

Crane Day

The 25'th of March is the day Jesus mum Mary got notice from the archangel Gabriel that she was pregnant.
BUT today is also Crane Eve (tranafton), a folk-way from my home landscape. In the old times the kids ran barefoot (run crane) over 7 grounds and 9 dungheaps on the Crane eve. The saying is that if you do you will have a healthy summer and won't get snakebites.

"The crane brings light to bed" - you should go to bed while it was still light out and you no longer lit candles or used electricity in the evening.

The kids could dress up as cranes and go around sneaking crane cards to the neighbours. Also they painted cards of cranes to put on the window so the crane knew where to give gifts.

We celebrated by running barefoot 3 times around the playground. Then we painted pictures of the crane that we put on to the window. Then the kids hang their panyhose on the sofa. Tonight the crane will come and put presents and/or candy in them. When they wake up they can see his footprints and some feathers. It's very exiting for them! This is how I celebrated as a kid.

Todays cute Adora compliment

U R NOT ONLY THE QUEEN OF ELECTROGOTH BUT U R THE SOUL OF ALL THIS WHO CALLED ELECTROGOTH U R INSPIRATION
By Methodis Kokkinos Potseplis

Vince Festival

Just back from a meeting with the museum about the price on renting the yard for the Vince Festival (an electro festival in the spirit of image in honour of Vince Clarke, the starter of Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure amongst others). The festival runs only on culture contributions, so we need everything to be as cheap as possibly. I hope they will be as fair as they can. They both seemed very nice and helpful.

On the way back I just happened to pass a store I've never seen before, I went inside and found a store with dreads, jewellery and some other stuff that can be helpful at the festival. The girl seemed very interested in participating and selling her stuff in the area. I told her that of cause I need to point out on what to sell at an electro festival :) I felt the need since there was a LOTS of hardrock stuff - and that can't come near an electro festival! She was very understanding and sweet. Hopefully I will have her at the festival! Nice :)

Other good thing: the people who's to sell alcohol and food to the guests had nothing against wearing totally black clothing for the festival (I had it as an request). She even said: "you can put make up on us as well!" She should think that I might just take her up on that! To say that to me can be dangerous! :)

Today I've felt sick of my hair. About 4 month ago I got hair panic and it ended up with me cutting the top layer about 15 centimeters!! I regretted it 2 seconds later..so this time I didn't do that.
During the winter I could hide under my cat hat, but now it's almost spring and I can't hide any more. I just made a couple of quotes on long DE dreads in puple and white. Perhaps that can solve my hair problem :)

Just got back from the studio. I hope I didn't kill Wallan's ears... One song for the festival is now done. Only some mixing left. AND the commercial is done! I'm gonna play it for the company-people next week. Hope they like it!
Sometimes I get business proposals at youtube: "Can you put this link in your movies for money?" I always look at it, but so far noone had any luck.
This weeks must have been the funniest ever! I almost laughed my eyebrows off!
They said it was a link to different products that would suit my clientel. When I opened the link it was TANNING PRODUCTS!!! What goth person needs that!?
Started off by re-coloring my hair soft purple as the purple is part of my world domination. Then I shut up. Today I'm going into the studio, so I need to save my voice. I sing SOOO bad, but hey, singer Bernard Sumner of New Order has no voice of an angel either....

Also, this Thursday when I had that important company meeting that went really well I made up a song on the way home, so I need to do that one too. It's a commercial song :)

My Exhibit:

The first draft to the poster (there will be 3 different) is out! And yes, it's me on the picture...but I had to add some butt and tits, butt and tits, butt and tits.
This picture was taken 2001 at a fantastic Karl Bartos (of Kraftwerk) concert in Malmoe, Sweden. Oh, I was so pretty then <3

Weekly style: Siobhan of Shakespears Sister

Who'd know that death is a drop dead gorgeaous goth girl! I love her dolly style with the corkscrew curls and her freaky ways <3

The BatBrat Company

So...tonight I had a very important meeting.
I've been on evening courses on how to start your own company, and tonight we could get our ideas tested in front of a "jury" to see if we needed to change anything, get feedback or get killed and put in a coffin and buried 10 feet down, then got stomped on and shoot two times in the heart. Fortunally for me the last thing didn't happen! But being goth, that would have been fine too ;)

All day I've tried to be a good student and write my project plan, but the kids was tossing balloons in my face, playing harmonica and making problems in general so I couldn't for 1 second concentrate on my presentation. Good start - not!

Ran to the meeting, let all the other people go first while I sat down in a corner trying to staighten out how to explain my idea. I was the last one in. Secret stuff secret stuff secret stuff secret stuff secret. Needless to say I walked home with a BIG smile on my face. Even made up a song. I will have a new meeting with 2 of the guys next week. I also had another business idea - and I'll have a meeting next week with the other person on that idea. 2010 IS ADORA BATBRAT's YEAR! Of cause I'll tell you the secret stuff soon, but I don't wanna jinx it! I thanked God/Goth as the good Christian I am. Whopeedoo <3

Weekly style: Siobhan of Shakespears Sister

This was what you all of a sudden was confronted with when looking at the rather dull, but beautiful video "Stay". All of a sudden this freaky, superpretty goth portraying death went on the TV.
Whoa! I've loved the video ever since....but now thanks to youtube I can go directly to the part where she is singing and skip the other parts.

Since we're only interested in style here we screw the person behind it all. The Style is just what we want. But still, some personal stuff can be mentioned.
She was prior to this look a "normal" pretty girl who sang pop with a very famous band at the time (Bananarama). Later marries Dave Stewart of Eurythmics and then forms Shakespears Sister.

Oh, I'm so sorry I missed out on weekly style this week. I had one special girl on my mind, but somehow I didn't find the time *poop* I thought noone would notice - but you sure did!

To show my remorse I can give you some good news! This jacket I'm wearing is once again sold at the H&M Run to the closest store to get one. It's not on the online shop yet - why, I don't know? Please go out and buy it so we can all be twins!

They do have this one online though. I bought it in white (that's not in the onlineshop either - strange?). My husbands comment "-Why on earth did you buy a WHITE jacket - you only wear black anyway...?" He's right...but perhaps I can swallow my "cool-factor" one day and dress in white. I like that too actually, but I do feel the cool-factor dropping on such a day...

How do I get so pale colors?

Saturdays is always cutting the bangs for me. And re-coloring my hair. For the moment I use Directions "Violet" and blend it with my conditioner to get the right nuance.  It's about half a teaspoon to a handfull of conditioner, and I keep it in for 15 minutes. That's another Adora secret served for you.
Be nice little bats and tell noone ;)

I'd rather prefer to have green hair right now, but the purple hair is part of my world dominating.
It will all be clearer to you later...
I have big plans ahead, and a purple head is part of that plan, so I'll have to bare with it.

Yesterday I went through my town carrying these 26 baloons. I "think" I got stared on more than usual...

My kids went totally wild. I got many mommy-points!

My Exhibit:

Me and my friend is having a 3 weeks long exhibition at the museum. It's quite a big deal!
Yesterday I was in the artgallery to do measurements, some thinking and to meet the art administrator.
It was a very good meeting and I'm so exited!
Now it's big work ahead, many to contact and stuff to gather so we can have a nice vernissage on the 15'th of May.

What it's about? The Industrial goths, called "synthare" in Sweden, is in the spotlight. We focus on the years 1980-96 when electro music was huge here. Mostly it's about locals who were active in the subculture.
