My review: Forever Young 2010 Kalmar

Saturday I went to a festival called Forever Young 2010. The bands I watched was Jakob Hellman (a swedish man who is a living myth because he made this fantastic record 1989 and then said he could never make something as great again so he left the scene until now).

Back then he became an icon for the outcasts, the outsiders and the nerds. Kind of like me then.

For me who acctually saw him playing in a record store 1989 this was a magic moment and a teen flashback. He was just as good, had the same teen suffering and desperation in his voice as well as his body language. I acctually felt he was singing to me from time to time :)

Ultravox I had no special relation to from before accept their hit songs Vienna and Dancing with tears in my eyes and the funny look the singer had in the 80's. But - WOW! Those older men blow me away!! The gig was so tight and professional. I don't even know where to begin...

First off - the percussionist looked like a vampire, and that is always a plus in my book, and the synth-player in front of me was so in the moment and played like an angel on his violin and the singer had such nice clothes and his voice was so strong and he almost glowed because he was enjoying the concert so much - and it reflected back on the audience. The other synth-player I could not see especially well, but he must have done a great job!

Last night gave me a new favorite Ultravox song - Hymn. I've played it on repeat many times today, and already put it in the folder for next years M'era Luna record! Also - they all wear black'ish stylish clothes.

Then it was time for my undisputedly favourite swedish band - Lustans Lakejer. I have only this to say - if I die today, I would die a happy girl :)

The gig gave me chills, tears, pain, joy, despair and anxiety.

First off, it was the most "designed" gig with the depraved and gallant Johan Kinde accompanied by skinny, pretty fashionista boys with side bangs (all from other famous swedish synthpop inspired bands) that made it look so well thought trough (and I also think it was no coincidence. Johan is a man of visions).

Mr Kinde walked out like the dandy he is with a negligent buttoned shirt with the cuffs flapping and an untied bow tie. A champagne glass made the image complete.

His voice was filled with teen hopelessness, sophistication and the feeling of being blasé. I have always called Lustans Lakejer swedens answer to The Cure, so you can just imagine how much I cherish them.

He delivered hit after hit and my heart jumped on every word he sang.

All of a sudden my favorite song "Paradisets Portar" (Gates of Paradise) started to play, and I got so overtaken my tears well over. I NEVER thought I would get to hear this song live.

This is the the lines that always makes me cry:

The smalltalk inbetween songs was personal, funny and smart. Although, friends of mine who wasn't such big fans as I thought he sounded stuck up and snobbish. I beg to differ!

Extra plus: Apparently Mr Kinde approached my sister beliving it was me earlier <3 but after the gig he found me and walked with us 4 to town. Of cause I got a pic of this ;) A sweet moment for me and my husband (who's the nice person that introduced me to their music 1989).

Next in line was Reeperbahn. I have nothing to say about them since I never listened to them earlier, and didn't listen to them now. But from what I saw they didn't look stylish.

Then - Alphaville. After all the reviews from this tour I had no expectations at all. Apparently he burped in the microphone at one concert, was arrogant to the audience at another and acted high on drugs on all. I was almost afraid.

But can you imagine - this evening he must have mixed all his drugs right because he was happy as a child on Christmas Eve, smiled and jumped around.

I did see Alphaville about 2004 and that was a real downer so I'm very happy they could erase this bad memory from my mind and replacing it with this warm and tender concert. The loving arms of my husband and the kisses from his black lipstick of cause made it even better.

It started off with everybodys favorite song Dance with me. The crowd went wild! Of cause the years changed his voice a bit, but sometimes the old Marian Gold voice shined trough and those moments gave me chills. He played one of my favorite songs; Jet Set. The whole show ended as it started - with Dance with me - but unplugged. The audince almost hold it's breath. It was so beautiful <3 Thank you, Marion.

Last, but not least: Human League. A wonderful stage set up with lots of white. Philip looked very smart in his different outfits of super tailored clothes. His former girlfriend (the brunette) was struggeling with her moves but still caught my attention since she looked very sweet. The blonde girl in my opinion was..well, not my style. She came out in a trouser-suit!!! That was it for me. I could not look at her. She had samba moves and her shin up in the air like a snob. At one time she came out in a very short dress, and did some high lifting of her legs so you could see her whole vagina (well, panties)!

Philip's voice is one of the best in the world I think, very full and dark. I think he was a bit strange on stage though. He had some moves where he resembled of a mix between Stevie Wonder and Mr Bean from time to time. But of cause I will forgive him for that because of his amazing voice. Best singing performance was Human and best song for me was Being Boiled.

He should have replaced those girls with me and my sister instead ;) Nah, the girls did good, but I really think the blonde should think a bit more on to look a bit more humble.

Philip did surprise on walking out in something that looked like a pyjamas for the extras. A wierd moment.

I did think the gig was a bit "dry". I didn't sence the tightness as I did when the other bands played. But it was still a wonderful gig, maily because of Philips voice. And also, the young synth player should have an eulogy for his positive energy and the way he played.

I'm soon leaving for Nybro, and then to Kalmar (my old hometown) for a minifestival tonight with Alphaville and Human League amongst others - and of cause friends. Sunday I'll go to IKEA to shop :)

I'm having two videos on my clipping table. 1 is almost done, but misses one scene. It's a crafts video (see picture). The other one is of cause the Day1 and Day 2 from this years M'era Luna :) It's maaaany pictures and videos to go through..

I'm trying to learn how to update my hompage now when I've got it handed over from the designer and programmer (it's not really done yet), but I'm so afraid to mess something up. I can only hope for it to be dummy-proved programmed ;)

Started the day with a breakfast meeting about social media at 07.30 :) and finished it off with a meeting about the webshop to come, and then a quick fill-in on my latest tattoo; the heart on my left ringfinger needed filling and I wanted bigger boobs on the picture of me...so all in all you might say I got a boobjob in 30 seconds ;)

I sometimes get asked if I use skin bleaching products, like Porcelain skin. But I don't.
This made me think that perhaps I should... I do really like to be pale.
Have anyone here tried any skin bleaching products?

I think I will not use it since it's probably not good for you, but I can't help but being intrigued.
I'll just continue to be pale by the help of make up I guess..

Just made dammsugare/vacuum cleaner cookies in green and pink, now I'll do the frosting for my sticky brownie cookies, then time to do the cake. Nothing fancy though. I have not had time to think about it :(

It's for Synthia's b-day party for her classmates today at 14:00.

Todays reenactment of the 18'th century. Well, for me, as being a vampire and all, I have already lived this century, but it was nice to do it again ;) These clothes always makes me feel so happy, but I think it's about time to make a new dress and a new wig though. If only the day had 48 hours instead of 24...

Now I have perfect colored hair for the M'era Luna festival on Saturday; Directions VIOLET mixed with PINK FLAMINGO and conditioner, and my left side white; Directions SILVER mixed with conditioner.

Tomorrow morning I will bleach and color my hair. I know it will look good - but it takes so long.. I hate spending all that time in the shower. I hope I mix the purple color right since there is no time for errors.

Last night at 01:00 I did something in clay to wear with one of the outfits. I have no f*cking idea on how to attach the damn thing, but hopefully that will solve itself. It will look cute I think, but it's not so smart doing things you have no idea on how wear...

Someone gave me a tip to be a unicorn at the M'era Luna festival - and the funny thing is she wasn't so far off...
I can of cause tell nothing yet.
But strangely enough I do actually have a unicorn suit at home, well, it's my kids, but still! It's so strange she should mention a unicorn out of all!
Tomorrow I will release the place and time so I can meet up the party people who will be at the M'era Luna festival :)

Me?

The M'era Luna outfit I figured out yesterday includes: clay (to sculpt something), blue satin ribbon (what? Color!?) and dotted lace. Go figure...

Wohoo -I think I just made out one of my M'era Luna outfits!!! Okay, still MUCH work to do before it's finished, but I think it will be sweet <3
But M'era Luna has two days... so tomorrow it's back to the drawing table..

I colored Synthias hair with Manic Panic's Wildfire yesterday. She's got medium brown to begin with so I think it turned out alright. Perhaps next time I will choose something with a bit more orange than pink tone in it. Before we used Directions Mandarin. Perfect for her but it fades oh so quickly.

This was a surprise to me - I wore color! I have never felt so looked at and I felt doubtful all day. Love the new dress - BUT it's too long for me and definitly in color. Military color is ok I think, but I felt a bit wrong all day... Tomorrow I must be all black again to wash it off (tihi).

Just took some new pictures in blue make up. I'm not a big fan of colorful make up, but it makes great photos. I only feel beautiful in black and white make up. Purple or reddish lipstick at the most.

I so have a M'era Luna clothing problem... and I have litte or no time to figure out a great outfit. At worst scenario I have to just grab something 2 seconds before leaving and work what I got. Haha, could be fun!

Those are just too cute. I have them in boots that I got from doing a fashion show. They are really comfortable. It's a Demonia shoe.

And WHY are there no cool and cute girly shoes with spiderwebs??

Finally home from my mother and her husbands house. We had such nice weather and the kids had so much fun :) Me? Well I always had my tube with sunblock within reach and my umbrella redy when I had to step out of the shadow... Nah, I had fun too chasing my kids with a water gun, plucking blueberries and talking to my 89 years old granpa Harry.

I just bought a new house hold machine online to make my baking easier :) Can't wait to get it! It's a Wilfa HM-400

Just back from a 2 hour standup comedy with Swedens best. I have cramps in my cheeks and a headache from laughing too much :) It was so funny, and it was just me and 4 of my girlfriends. We had dinner before and I choose cold-smoked salmon and dijon and ruccola potatoe-salad with green olives and  mustard hollandaise. It was soooo good.

Tomorrow I will leave for Kalmar (my old hometown) to go to Ölands zoo and funfair with the kids, then IKEA for a new table, then my mother and husbands house by the water to stay the night.

Weight loss

Okay, so - 1 kilo in 2 days, 200 grams the next one and 400 grams the next one again (today).

I still eat the same breakfast (20 minutes before breakfast: 1/4 Fuji apple.) Whole wheat puffs with fat milk and cinnamon, or scrambled egges with bacon, or fiber bread with philadelphia and ham and cucumber - as much as I want on all meals (VERY IMPORTANT). And always 3 dl water), and then a fruit or tea and a crispbread with something on at 9.30, then lunch at 11.30 -the days fattest meal, fat and fibres for me; veggies, eggs, meat, fish, fat cream...

Then something at 14:00; a fruit or crispbread. Dinner at 16.30 with "no fat": meat/fish, and lots of veggies.

And at 18 I eat something small too.

Before this decision to get back in weight (I can't wear half my wardrobe!) I also ate at 22 - often crisp bread with brie. Now I've moved my brie to the 18 o'clock meal instead, and my "extra kilos" just falls off by itself :)

Also I suffered from my ulcer before and that made me hungry all the time thus the extra weight.

Monticnac Method

And yes, I know that to most people I already look skinny, and I think I am too. BUT I like to look anorexic without being it (who want's to kill the brain?).

One fat lady to another: "Look at that ugly skinny bitch over there."
Other fat lady: "Yes, being that skinny is really ugly."
First fat lady: "..I wish I was that ugly...."
Other fat lady: "Me too."

This is so crazy - I stopped eating my 22:00 snack 2 days ago and already it payed off! I can't believe it - but I lost 1 kilo in just 2 days! This makes me wonder what the hell I ate before???
I changed nothing but that last meal. So dinner at 16:00 and then something small at 18:00 and then stop. And believe me, I do NOT go to bed hungry. I'm guessing I will not loose weight in that same rate now, but that's good, you should never loose weight too fast. AND never diet, just change to better eating (like the Montignac method). And I can also say that my ulcer seems gone :) Wohooo!

I also bought this skirt in Gothenburg. Not super special really but I needed a cool day-to-day skirt, and this was cute.

This freaking ulcer makes my body think I'm hungry ALL the time..now beach body 2010 are long gone.
My new trick (apart from taking the medicine) is to brush my teeth at 21:00 so I don't eat after that. I always get so hungry by 22:00, and that's no good.

Yesterday in Gothenburg I bought a new corset. I'm guessing this will be used at M'era Luna festival.

As if tomorrow morning, painfully early, I will go to Gothenburg. But just until Monday. A short trip. We are going to the Universeum with the kids to look at some sharks and so on. Hopefully they will stay calm on Monday long enough for me to go shopping. I have nothing to wear!!! I want something with bats or spiders.

I'm working on a new Adora BatBrat website. Today I got help from a professional to make the design look smarter. He made it look so me <3 Now it's time to make it function as well.
The plan is to have the new site up and running until the M'era Luna festival - woohooo!

Went to the doctor because of my belly button yesterday.
I had surgery 1½ years ago, and ever since I have had pain in it when wearing something over it (skirt lining/corsets or even by sleeping on my stomach). Everytime in a corset is so painful for me ever since. But now I'm on a waiting list, so hopefully it will be better this fall.

Always when I've done my situps it hurted like hell, so I haven't done any for weeks because I was afraid, but now she reassured me I can do it without problem.

So from today - 100 situps/day every day until M'era Luna. M'era Luna body of the year ;) Time to lock in my guts!

Adora BatBrat: Make up Artist

Today (Tuesday) I'm in Lund's Hospital for another check up on Fairlights disease, Juvenile Dermatomyositis. The whole family will travel with her, and after we will go to Malmö so I can check out the fashion and by me some new haircolor :)

This morning I did the make up on a first time 14 years old model. She looked like a doll when I was finished, and she was very good with the posing and facial expressions. It was very fun to watch. Perhaps she will be in Paris next year ;)

A Goth girls best friend is the underbust satin corset. This should be item #1 in your wardrobe. Make sure it's a good quality. I loooove mine and use it a lot.

And remember - I don't wear gloves because it's cold, I do it because it's part of my fashion.

I'm so stressed out because of a headache and a f-ing Photoshop that won't work with me today. I had to re-do a picture from the beginning and it takes forever. I'm 2 steps away from being done, but I really MUST go to sleep now otherwise my work tomorrow will suffer. I want to finish now, but the smart thing is to hit the pillow.

I'm doing one of the prints for the t-shirts that was the winners. I hope you will like it. Some small adjustments though: the eyes will be white and I'm thinking of removing the black bows and add smaller white to the sleeves instead?

I'm a member of an 18'th Century society via the museum, and our museum decided to use THIS picture of me on their tourist folder this year! I think they are mad!
It's from a picnic and I was fooling around and made cookie eyes.

Does anybody know how to make a stiff tutu like this:

I've made tutus before, but I want one that stands out by itselves without droop. Is it just to trust the material or is there some secret involved?

Okey, okey, here is a picture of me in my new bikini. An ordinary strap bikini á la 70's. Nothing special at all. Now I will just figure out how to goth pimp it with lace, ribbons, "diamonds", bows. Perhaps I'll add a spider or a bat somewhere...

I have to make some ruffle or lace in the upper front because I just noticed my caesarean section shows (I have a caesarean section because our first pregnancy was VERY complicated, with big risks for Synthia who was controlled twice a week to make sure she didn't get heart failure. She would never had survived a normal birth anyway, but we had an urgent c.s. 7 weeks too early, she only weight 1830 grams and we had to live at the hospital for 11 weeks and 3 days because she forgot to breath sometimes).

Bikini trouble

Where on earth can I find a goth bikini??? I've searched the web, e-bay and regular stores.

I have a boring black, and a sweet black and white striped and a white with lots of red hearts on it (it looked so cute when I had pink hair). But I want a more goth black on black.... lace, ruffle, bling, goth princess'ish, spiders, bats - anything!!

This is my favourite model, but it needs to be gothed up!

I have ugly black bikinis in my wardrobe - perhaps I can make them look better with some ribbons...

It was a lovely day and the kids were just too pretty when we all celebrated the day with her <3

Back home Synthia made us all a candy cake filled with strawberrys. It was super nice!
