Been at Stockholm

Sunday I was at my friend L's house for some sweet cupcakes she made.
I like having friends that knows their way around the kitchen.

All off a sudden my honey called and announced that we have got babysitters so we could go to Stockholm tomorrow! Wihooo...shopping and holding hands without some mini persons saying its boooooring or wanting to hold my hand so I can't hold my honey.

Monday: leaving the little cuties at my husbands parents and then quickly jump into the car and drive the 6 hour drive to Stockholm.
Here I am driving our SAAB 9-5 Aero Sportcombi, named Miss Brown after this song. I love driving!
I made it all the way to Stockholm without any major problems ;)
We took a fast stroll on town, mostly to check out some Pip Studio Design and Green Gate stuff I wanted. But the stuff I wanted wasn't in.
This is the make up I had on the first day. You can't really tell, but I had like a jar or silver glitter from Make Up Store under each eye. I LOVE GLITTER!!! Must have been a crow in my previous life.
Next day I was ready for town in this little outfit. It's a basic tulle skirt (I have a few safety pins on the inside to lift the tulle at front), my top is just a bra, linen and a bra top (bustier?) from an underwear store. I have no problem wearing underwear on top :) and a few necklaces, net gloves and dotted stockings.
I'm only wearing corsets on special occations, like concerts/festivals. On a regular shopping I wear corset-like things, but nowhere near as hard like a real corset. Corset = prettiest, but I don't wanna die when shopping (although that would be a fab way to go!).

Had a BIG shrimp salad for lunch.
Went back to our friend N & J's flat to pack our bags.
Stopped on the way for a soft ice with lots of sprinkles.
Then I had some Thai food - and kill me slowly by lightening one hair at the time to flames - that was HOT! My eyes started to run, and I could not stop saying "ouch" for every bite. I was so hungry and it tasted so good that nano second before the lava feeling entered that I had to finish it. It was the strongest food I have ever had. I'd rather turn normal than eat that again. It was THAT horrible!

Best thing about Stockholm is that I spotted some really good looking, alternative girls (as in pretty, not me being in love), but I'm lousy at recognicing people so I hope it was noone I was supposed to recognice so they thought I was a total snob not saying hello. I'm always worried about that...
BUT a super cute, and total surprice, was a gorgeous girl with big, black hair and super pretty face that came up to me and told me she followed me on youtube and that she liked my style (I think. I was so surprised!). It made me really happy <3 Thank's :)

And what else - oh yes, when I was in the Shock shop I was photographed for their Facebook page. She said they photographed their most pretty customers. Even if it was a total lie, it still made me bit happy :)
And that was this Stockholm tour. I hope it will not be too long until I go there again. I'd love to have more time there, so I could go to a disco or something.

The kids

Synthia and Fairlight at a bakery having some cake. Synthia is a spitting image of me as a kid and Fairlight is a perfect girl version of my husband. I always knew he would look fab as a girl ;)

TeeBee had his own table :)

Todays outfit

My old hometown, Kalmar, had a market today so we packed a car of fun (=kids) and went.
It was super! The kids bought some Bionicle's and I bought some market candy, Jack Skellington patches and a new nose chain :)
After we went to IKEA to buy a new mattress...and had an ice cream

Todays make up

As we are re-arranging a bit at home we needed some stuff.
*Uhhh, I just smashed a bug on my computer screen. Icky!*
So we gathered the kids and went out today. It was no easy task, but we managed to find what we were looking for.
We started off by taking an afternoon break at a coffe house.
I went for an applepie and a sticky mud cake (well, I bought the sticky chocolate cake and my husband the apple pie, and then we split both in half and exchanged flavours).
 The BatBrat bunch ;)
And what did we shop for? Oh, nothing exiting at all. Just a white stool with storage space to keep our collection of paper .

Old picture of the day

This is one of my favorite pictures of me. Perhaps not my prettiest, but I like it very much. I think I look so "me" :)  This is from the same festival as this, 1999, so that would make me 27 at the time..
With me is an old friend, Peter, a super sweet guy who I became friends with when I was out walking in my dads town and met Peter and a friend and since Sweden is a small country and I like to meet fellow "synthare"/electro goths I simply approached them and asked if they were synthare. Shy? Who, me?! Never.
They said; hell, yes, and then they revealed they already knew all about me. I think they even said I was a legend (they were so cute)!
A bit embarassing and surprising for me, but I at least made two good looking friends (and several more of their friends). We have had many good times together :)

Cartwheeling Adora

An old dream of mine has always been to be able to do a cartwheel and one of 2011 New Years resolutions was to make it this summer.

Today we were at our friends house for some barbecue and cuddling their rabbits and our kids riding one of their horses and with all this green stuff, called grass, I was brave enough to try it.
It might not have come out the way I hoped for, but I think I improved during the day :)
It was fun :)

Webshop almost there...

It feels like this web shop thingy have been going on forever!
It was supposed to be released today but I will have to check over a few more things tomorrow before I set it free.
The worst part is that my Adorable Heart blouse that was supposed to be my signature item is not ready yet.
I could NEVER have anticipated it would be so difficult to find the fabric I need.
Ok, so Sweden is a small country, but I still thought most things could be ordered via swedish wholesalers but I was bitten in my ass by that one.
Not the original blouse, just a first copy.
But, no time to be sad and moping. I just have to put my blouse and collars up later.
It just feels a bit boring to release the shop with nothing more than a few stockings and some make up in it...
But at least the pictures looks good :)
The make up I have put on the shop is ONLY the make up I use myself. Hopefully I will be able to add some more of the brands I use later. So far I only carry Kryolan.

How fun

I like how I sometimes stumbles over pictures of me I didn't know about :)
But it might just be I've seen them before and forgot about them - it happens all the time. A bit too often I'm afraid..
This is from last September when me and my far to cute sister Jenni were in London. And this was for the Torture Garden-evening. We are sponsored by Naucler latex in a bit special design for us :)

Old picture of the day

Aww, how cute!
My Fox Hat. I like it even more then the Cat Hat.
A bit more tricky to sew, but I think it looks fab on me.
Now I want it to be winter...(no, noooo, just kidding! I love the heat in Sweden right now).
This is from 2007.

Lenses

With less than a month left to M'era Luna festival in Germany I'm about to order some new, cool lenses.
I'm already VERY happy with my blue angelic eyes and the white ones with black borders, but me and the cute sis wanny try someting new this year. (We ordered those from http://www.lensway.se/)
We are going to match outfits, hair and make up on the first day. I think we will look great!
Just gonna decide on some lenses we both like.
I'm really looking foward to the festival as much as the look we'll have.

Here we are after M'era Luna 2008. This was just before we were about to remove our make up. I'm so amazed our make up still looks good after a whole days partying.

Todays outfit

The summer continues in Sweden :)
Today I had my cute sparkly skirt on.
The leggings are ordinary stockings that I've cut off and then I bought an elastic ribbon with spangles on. Sew it together to make an elastic ribbon to fit under my knee. Added a bow and voilá: it looks like my un-glamourous leggings have a nice lace ending.
And yeah, I served the kids some blood spotted (strawberry) cupcakes for afternoon break.

Me in black hair

Some people have asked about pictures of me in black hair. And I aim to be sweet and nice so I found a few.
I have never colored my hair black for real (I've almost always been blonde) but I have used black hairspray, Directions semi-color Ebony and black homemade dreads.
All pictures are from 2005-2006 when I'm pregnant with Fairlight, then TeeBee..
Synthia and me. Fairlight is in tummy.
Unfortunately my face look so bony with it and I don't think I look as good in black hair as others. But I looove black hair on both girls and boys - it's totally hot!
By Henrik Pilerud.
The more socially accepted Betty Page-look was good when I was pregnant since I was always feeling sick and could not bare to stand in front of the mirror as long as usual...
Uh, it scares me how rockabilly I look! The look is cute, but it's not just for me.
Me and my husband renewed out wedding vows on our 8'th anniversary :)
On top of hair my real color (bit black spray in fringe). This is how Directions Ebony will turn out when I wash it to make it ready for a new color.
At a cousins wedding <3 (homemade dress)
I have a black fringe.

Old picture of the day

Passed summers <3
This is from 2007 at my parents in laws home.
Ahh, what a lovely day - and what a lovely hair I had! One thing is sure - I will go back to that lovely pink color one day.
The foundation looks so good too! Without being a total narcissist I'm a bit in love with this girl <3 I think I wanna be her again..
