My family July 2007

I just stumbled across a picture of my whole family from 2007. The kids were so small!!!
Synthia on the ground, I'm carrying Fairlight and my husband <3 is holding TeeBee.
Usually they do not have all black and white clothes, but on trips it's so cute when we all match eachother. This was in Gothenburg. TeeBee looks like a toad and my hair is a complete mess!

The Adorable Heart blouse...

I went to the pattern maker this morning. She already made a pattern and sew a (better) copy of my blouse. It fitted like a second skin! She did a great job!

She also helped me out on what clothes to have on my sample collection. She was so incredible helpful.
Now we have 4 full sets containing both blouse and skirt.
Time to order som fabrics I think.

She also thought I'd make a corset (waspie) for the collection.

I have thought about it before, and people have asked me, but I'm doubtfull because there are so many super-talanted corset designers out there already - how could I ever make a better one...

Well, the best thing about my collection is that it's only black on black.

That might be vain, but I will only make things I myself would wear on a daily basis, and I do not wear color 99% of the time.

This sucks!

As happy I was yesterday, as sad/mad I am today.
I just found out my husbands work will send him to work 7 hours away from home.
All of a sudden I will be a "widow" for the week days.

Shit! Being a single mum with 3 kids does not appeal to me.

Swim school, homeworks, playing, dinner, tuck in - all of that will be all my work now...and on top of it all I will try to start my own business with my own clothing. Not a good combo.

Hopefully it's just until Christmas.
But every second apart is one second you can never get back. What about all my hugs and kisses :(

First meeting with the pattern maker

Whiii - I'm so happy right now! My lovely pattern maker was here today and everything feels so fantastic! She will give my pattern for the Adorable Heart Blouse a try to see if she nails it. Of course she will! I am so looking foward to work with her.

Unfortunally the production of the blouse will be delayed (not because of her) - I thought everything was done in a jiffy, but to find the exclusive fabrics I need is still a dilemma. But I have faith that I'll sort that out before the week is done!

Capsized brain

The London trip the 29'th of September-4'th of October is making me flip!
All of a sudden me and my sweet sister have 3 shoots booked (all super-fun and with only talented people)...but when will we be able to shop?! But screw shopping! You will totally understand when I will tell you who we will work with later... I'm being secretive now ;)

We are also planning on attending the Torture Garden Ball the 2'nd of October. For this event, me and my sister are being sponsored with clothes from swedens finest in Latex - Naucler Design. This is of course very exiting for us! We will be "twins" so we are now figureing out how to wear our hair and do our make up in a matching way.

I want a black ass

Just been out shopping, and this is what I got at Lindex. Very nice prices too. About 7-9$. The hearts feels a bit too colorful to me, but I just couldn't leave them. I love hearts <3

BUT - I have just one question - the black and white striped ones - why, oh, why, are they white on the ass?
What girl have ever wanted to see her ass look even bigger???
It's just stupid! I want a black ass ;)

I'm in my Zwart Chateau

At Zwart Chateau (the name of my sewing area) trying out different types of sleeves. On this new one I can see the puff must be shorter, the sleeve slightly wider and the cuffs are not the way they are supposed to be. So...back to the cutting table... I sometimes feel like the mices of Cinderella...

And YES! It is always a good thing to have a name for your working area. Andy Warhol had "The Factory", and I have "Zwart Chateau"! It suites me fine since I often wear a princess crown <3

Last week I had a meeting with the distributers and since I was in the area I went to Gothenburg for a photo session with my pretty sister - our first together ever! But not last I hope!

Todays outfit and make up

Blouse, waist thing is an under clothing, bow from Sonia Rykiel - all H&M, Lady Gaga-like gloves with rhinestone hearts, skirt from Shock, skull tights, stripe socks and Demonia shoes with a star on, pink glitter watch from Jet Set. I just had an evening in, so it's nothing spectacular.

I LOVE Friday's <3
This is a bit nerdy I guess, but:
EVERY Friday I switch my regular water glass to a high ball glass with a big red heart on it (well I force my husband to use one too) just to make a point of it's now FRIIIIDAY <3. I've done it for years.
I'm guessing most people have a Friday-ritual, but this is one that I always do.
Of cause I make myself extra pretty for my husband too :*

We also have Friday disco! We have done that since we moved in together. We put on old Maxi singles and dance together. Nowadays we do it with the kids so it's mostly Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, but we can sneak in a few electro hits too :)

Please tell me if you have any Friday wacky things going on! So I know I'm not the only crazy person...

Since stupid, stupid Facebook stops at a 5,000 friends limit I had to make a fan page, even if it feels un-personal but then I can be added by all of those sweet people who wants to add me <3
I of cause hope everyone who joined me already wants to add themself to my new page too. I will try to maintain both and make them personal.

Facebook 5000 friend limit

I never could have dreamed about so many people wanted to add me on FB, but now I've reached the 5000 friends limit. I thought it would automatically transform to some kind of fan page, but it didn't...it just said:
STOP - if you want to add more friends you have to delete some! What?! That is so sad. I wanted everyone who took their time to add me could be able to join me, but now I must start a fan page so those who can't come in still will be able to be friends. But fan-pages seems so un-personal. That bums me off.

But, hey, no use in moping! I'd better get that fan-page going and try to be positive instead. I just hope I can maintain 2 FB accounts and make them both personal..I'll make it for those wonderful, sweet people who joins me <3

On my different voting lists this was the winner! So, now I have posted it to the factory to make me a test print.

If everything go as I plan the bats will be in black velvet and the branches will be in black microglitter :)

Trying out new designs

I made another "The Bat" shirt before but as I got the pre-print back I discovered the velvet bat disappeared in the black fabric, so I needed to add something behind it. And stupid me made 3 versions and now I don't which my favorite is (and what people might wanna wear)...and I need to contact the factory TODAY! Please give me some hints. Nr 1, 2 or 3?
