Cupcakes and Mandrake the Magician

Yesterday when I delivered cupcakes for Synthia's schoolmates she couldn't join beacuse of the chicken pox, so I forced (I like using that word) her to decorate one of her own just so she wouldn't be sad about missing the 10 o'clock break at school.

The ugly pink with hearts is mine, pink flower is the one creative Synthia did and blue flower was made by creative TeeBee. I need to think more like a child - their's much prettier!
I'm a BIG fan of Mandrake, and I usually think in serie strip ways, like:
Synthia is decorating her cupcakes looking happy, but what you can't see is me hypnotizing her dressed up like a marshal telling her she is happy.
Just like when Mandrake hypnotized the criminals so it appeared like he magically got their guns in his hand, but then there will be this strip saying "This is what really happened:" and you get to see him hypnotize the bad guys, walking up to them, taking their guns, get back to where he stood before, and snapped his fingers making them believe it just re-appered in his hands. Magnificent!
And yes, I was in love with Mandrake.

Shopping spree!

I've been running free today! I had an amazing shopping spree!
Well, not so much shopping as spree'ing.
My best shopping is SALE SALE SALE! I love buying cheap! And today I grabbed a cute cream white layered tulle skirt for the girls and a white shirt with short sleeves for TeeBee. I want to make skull prints on it, I think he'd be glad.
And WHAT about me - I should have something small too *pouting my lower lip, winking my lashes*
I found the most magnificent hair clips in my favorite faded pink color (kids department H&M)
I really, REALLY love this old pink color, the only thing I hate about it is that it will look horrible when I change my hair back to pink again
;(  I mostly wear red hair-stuff when I have pink...
But I won't change back just yet *sorry*.. I usually have a 1 year limit for my hair colors. But this flourescent green will change to a more "Adora-green" after M'era Luna in August. And no to be unfaithful to this crazy green, because I DO like it for being so funny and crazy, but I think it's a too "sharp" color for me. It's not the pastel, faded colors I'm used to, so I will try to make it a more "me" green.
Only hope it won't look like I've used to be blond and showered in water with too much iron in it...
And not to have any confusion here...the color after green will not be pink. I will have another inbetween :) Whihoo, can't wait!

Todays outfit

I felt so lovely today so I just spread the love all over myself! A bit downer I couldn't find my heart hair clips and jewellry in the morning, but at least I found one red heart to wear. I looked very casual today - I felt like I was on my way to a work out..

Sweat jacket, altered shorts and stockings from H&M, Demonia shoes, gold crown from toystore, Jack Skellington hair clip

Shoe search

I'm about to buy me some new shoes.
My wet dream is to get my feets into these beauties:

I have searched for them for a VERY long time, but only similar shoes turns up.
Some help anybody?
I want the exact same: 7 eyelets, made of PU and with those special fastening straps.

But in the meantime I've ordered these from China:
I need me a new pair of shoes since my Demonia Trashvilles broke in the zipper, and they are my day to day shoes for all autumns and winters when running back and forward to daycare. But I think the new ones will do the job :)

Here I am in my beloved Trashvilles at the M'era Luna festival 2008 in Hildesheim, Germany. AND as a coincidence - today is exactly 2 months to the day left!
I have the exact same Trashvilles with buckles as well. Soooo comfortable.

Make up crisis!

Nooooo!
I'm such a klutz! I broke my blusher! My everyday blusher!
Now I have to survive on the crumbles for 3 weeks...
Every single picture of me from the last 8-10 years is by this color (if I don't wear purple or blue etc.)
Boohoooo...I'm totally heartbroken.
On all following pictures I have Make Up Store's blusher Chic
For many, maaany years I've bought the same blusher when ever in a town that carries Make Up Store (this makes it sound like I live in the far jungle).
I use the color Chic by Make Up Store.
Not many people like to wear as much blush as I do, I'm definately an overdoser when it comes to that.
I love wearing blush since I think it makes me look like a mix between 18'th century people, a doll and a girl in heat ;)
A hot tips for blush is; when you paint it on, make it about 1/3-1/2 more then how you want the result.
Why?
Because when you paint on the blusher you agitates the skin underneath and that makes it blush naturally causing it to look as you had enough, but after 10-30 minutes you will hardly notice you painted any on (well, unless you're an overdoser like me).

Recipe: Viola bows (sugar pretzels)

As a young child, innocent and sweet...nah, who am I kidding? Who's story am I trying to tell?
The truth; as a young child, scary and with sociopathic streaks I sometimes were allowed to visit my grandma and grandpa under supervision of a crowd of psychiatrists and doctors standig by with a shoot of anaesthetic if anything should go wrong....again ;)
Everytime I visited my grandma, Viola, she baked these "sugary" pretzels. She was a diabetic so it had no sugar on top and I was not so fond of those plain pretzels back then.
But then I grew up to an innocent and sweet... Again! Wtf, tell the truth you fucking psycho! Okay, okay, I will, stop yelling at me!
But then I grew up to be a happy vampire (-Satisfied? Hmm, well, okay, it is bending the truth a bit on the kind side, but okay, I can settle for that.) and all of I sudden I just grabbed a recipe in my book and you can imagine my surprise when I took the sugary pretzel inbetween my fangs and I got ripped back in time just as if Superman had flown backwards of the earth once again as I landed in my (now deceased) grandma Viola's kitchen and was 7 years old wearing some hideous brown manchester pants and a white turtleneck with a big pretzel stuck between my teeth!
I've found Viola's recipe!
So from this day foward I named them Viola bows and it is a great memory to have of her <3

Viola bows/Sugar Pretzels converter
These will only yeast once
50 grams butter
1,5 dl milk
0,5 dl sugar
25 g yeast
4,25 dl wheat flour

Melt the butter and add milk to it. Heat to 37 degrees Celcius.
Mix in the sugar and yeast. Stir a bit.
Add the flour and knead the dough for 10 minutes in a machine (or by hand).
At once pour it out and cut it to 8 pieces. Make them as 20-30 cm long worms that you swirl like a pretzel (or whatever) on a baking plate. Add a tiny bit of extra flour if you must, but you shouldn't have to.
Put over a towel and let yeast for 30 minutes.
Put oven to 275 degrees Celcius (yes, it's correct - 275!) lower-middle for 5 minutes.
Paint them with water (or melted butter) and dip them in a sugary bowl before serving.

Do you have a memory cake from someone you love? Write down the recipe before they leave this earth is todays hot tips.

Shoe tips

I was just checking ebay.com for cut off body parts and cheap human skin when I saw they were selling "my" shoes. I know some people have asked me where I goth them - here they are.
The are SOOO comfy! I walked around in them for a whole night in Londons nightlife without the smallest blister the second time ever used. It's like shamble about in your morning slippers!
I'm wearing them here:
They might not look so high on me, but they are!
I'm 177 centimeters and these makes me 12 centimeters taller :) And yes, these are my feet. I tie little bows on the shoes every now and then.

Me in white, and I'm not even getting married!

Today Fairlight and TeeBee's daycare celebrated their "graduation" for the summer. They still have a few more weeks to go, but this is how it rolls.
As the tradition we all had white on (except my husband who had light grey pants with his white shirt and baby-blue tie). I felt so summerly! And it was SO hot!

We started out by having a quiz walk.
I must admit I feel a bit wierd wearing all white, but I think I pulled it off. But I like me better in black.
Group photo of our little angels <3 <3 <3
TeeBee was just so incredible cute in his turquoise bow tie!
I put on the frosting "live". The cupcakes both tasted AND looked good.
Full picture of TeeBee's recurring summer hair.
We had a great day and I managed to stay in the shade all the time! I LOOOOVE having an umbrella with me. But I really must buy me a new one, this is my surrogate since all the nice ones are broken because of this God forsaken town I live in is windy no matter what direction you choose to go!

Todays outfit

I've been out shopping some white clothes for TeeBee's and Fairlight's graduation at daycare. This is me right after I got home from town. I found a nice shirt for TeeBee to wear with his turkuoise bow tie and a hair decoration for Fairlight (so far). I will go out tomorrow too, perhaps I can find F some new earrings too.
Prinsess crowns makes me a better shopper
My favourite from last year; to cut off my stockings below my knees, is on my like-list this year too. And the heel-socks are perfect to avoid chafed feet when walking barefoot in shoes.

Unknown facts about me

Many, maaaaany years ago I did a cover of a magazine together with Dee Snider from Twisted Sister .
The shoot was originally supposed to be with Alice Cooper, but he was a bit late and I had to leave early so I couldn't wait for him (what a diva!). But the nice mr Dee Snider was in handy instead.

I've been a "synthare" (the closest translation is electro goth) since the age of 12, and in Sweden there was a big "war" between hardrockers and synthare.
We only liked synthetic sounds made by computers. Our house Gods by the time were Alphaville, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb.
Guitars and real drums were strictly forbidden.
I've seen half of the audince leave when electro-bands played live in Sweden and all of a sudden brought in a guitarr on stage!
So for ME to do a shoot with one of the most hardrocker there is was an inner fight!
On one hand - really cool to even be close to this legend (yes, I've seen their early videos and heard their guitar based music) and on the other hand - this man is the father of my sworn enemies...
I still have very mixed feelings when seeing this :)
But I have to tell you - he had a great personality! Very warm and easy going...but still, that can't convert my cold, cadenced electro heart <3

I'm so gif:ed

Thank's all for the crazy gif's. It is just too much fun.
I didn't even know they existed! I've seen one or two before, but there are many out there nice people have told me!
I couldn't save and open them so here's a link to a few.

Old picture of the day

2004 was my purple year.
8 months after giving birth to Synthia I went to see Human League in Gothenburg. Nedless to say it was a great concert, and singer Philip Oakey is certainly still f*ckable. He's not my main type of guy, but he still looks rather smashing I might add.
And how I miss my wonderful, long purple hair seeing this. It looks great! I look so pale in purple :)

Building IKEA things

I always start every Friday by switching my regular water glass to my party, heart water glass, just to get that luxurious feeling :) I think all should have a Friday glass, it makes the Friday's so much more fun!
If you do not have one already - go out and buy yourself a Friday glass, somthing that will make you feel a bit special every Friday :)
So, how do I spend a Friday like this?
Well, I was at the playground with the kids, later I decorated my balcony a bit and then I started to build the BILLY bookshelf we bought. I think it will turn out nice. When the door is on I might be able to use it as a coffin to sleep in.
As my night turnes to day I will wake up in my coffin and will continue to make our livingroom a better place for crafting.
I choose the ABSTRACT door (although they are not compatibel, so there will be some drilling involved) just because it's a high gloss surface and will be so much easier to whipe off blood from, aftter my "crafting".

Philosophy

One of my HATE subjects at school were Philosophy (Swedish gymnasium at age 16-19).
To this day I can't see no use whatsoever of this subject.
The fact that the teacher was like dried meat and about to die every second didn't really help.
It should have, because one of my main interests was to be able to watch a person die close up just to get the hang of it, so I should have been very focused, but perhaps the concentrating of not missing if he were about to die made me out of focus?

I have no memory about what he tried to teach me apart from one sentence that has stuck with me for all these years. See, Mr PerErik, I DID learn something!

"In philosophy person B can never pass person A".
This was also rich illustrated in the book.
If, at a race for example, person A was faster at the start, person B could never get ahead of him. In real life - yes, but philosophy is one fucked up subject, so when person A where at point 2, person B was only at point 1. And as person B reached point 2, person A have moved foward to point 3 - ergo, as person B moves, person A moves too and is at a new location every time person B reaches person A's last location. This made me insane!!!!

Shopping at IKEA

Yesterday at 22.00 we decided we should try to do something about my Zwart Chateau (the name of my sewing area).
Since we only live in a 5-room apartment, and we are 5 people there isn't a room for my sewing and crafting, so I just have to do this in our livingroom - and I looks a mess when I'm cought up in my crafty self.
This corner is in a desperate need of a change.
I'm embarassed even posing this messy picture :/
So we left for IKEA today. I managed to find something that might work to clean up my messy area.
When we were done it was time for the usual ice cream.
Our sweet kids enjoyed their ice cream
Me hanging out in the wardrobe area
I will for sure post pictures of how the work is progressing. Hopefully it will be a neat and tidy little place once I'm done.

And I agree with others: this Directions; Spring Green is horrific on me! I know it's not cute or sweet in any way. But it is funny and crazy and I laugh at my hair every single morning! I will probably keep it for a year anyway. But my intention all along have been to change to a different shade of green. But I have a year to do that :) Perhaps it will suite me better.

Someone made an Adora GIF.

Sometimes very strange things surface. Here's one my Italian friend Rossella found on Tumblr. Here.
It's a section from my Valentine's video I made. Haha, this gif. is funny!

Todays outfit

Monday starts with wearing my cute gold crown. It goes perfectly with my horrific green hair!
Perhaps I'll make this a princess week and wear different crowns every day...
I hated to wear green eyeshadow all day, it was not a good make up day for me today. I will do better tomorrow!

Goth Martha Stewart: Bloody Nightgown crafting

FINALLY I remembered to publish this video!
I hope it will come in handy for all this summers sleep overs ;)

For those interested you got quite a few sneak-peaks of our flat.

Mothers Day

Today was Mothers Day here in Sweden.
We celebrated by visiting my husbands mom (and dad) for dinner.

As from Sunday a week ago first TeeBee, then Fairlight, then Synthia had a fever, so I have had no chance to figure out what I wanted for Mothers Day (yes, I'm a total bitch to buy presents for and changes everything if I had not specificly wished for it) so I got my husbands card to buy me something later. Suits me much better!

Fairlight got the chicken pox this Friday so she is now on medication 4 times/day since her cell toxins makes her less resistant to this sickness. Poor girl :(
(she suffers from the rare soft tissue rheumatism Juvenile Dermatomyositis, JDM)
Right now I'm just hoping for Fairlight's recovery and that TeeBee and Synthia won't get infected. Yeah, fat chance of that not happening! Chicken pox contaminates by a look of an eye! Crap! I'll be home with sick kids for weeks.
Congratulations on Mothers Day to me!
Bitter? Noooo......what gave me away?
