I got this question, so I tried to answer it as true as I could.

Secret life of...

Today I did something very unlike myself; I accepted an interview from our newspaper!
For many, many years I have been "chased" from different newspapers in Sweden for interviews, but I have always said no, no and no.
Even Dagens Nyheter (The Daily News), Sweden's biggest newspaper, have asked me several times to be able to follow me around for a day.
I can't see why on earth I'm that interesting?
But I liked the reporter, Lasse, and thought he was very respectful, well mannered and sweet, so I said yes.
He told me he's got lots of cred at work for being able to make me accept :) "-How were you able to get her? She never says yes?!"
I must confess I only did it for the applepie and vanilla sauce he bought me...but let's keep that secret between just you and me!

Healthy, skinny body 3: Bad things with being skinny
It also causes pain!
I will tell you 10 "problems" with having too little subcutaneous fat.
- I can't lay on my belly on a floor because my hipbones pokes out so much that I balance on them and that hurts.
- When I sleep on the side I need a pillow inbetween my legs because my knees are so bony it feels like they will rasp on themselves.
- When I sit on a chair I sit directly on my ass-bones (just some skin between). It sometimes causes bruising..
- I can't sit on my husbands lap because of this, he complains about my "ass-bones".
- When it is cold I freeze straight to the bones. I'm very sensative to being cold.
- As a kid I constantly had a red, ice cold nose - like Rudolph because I was always freezing.
- As a kid I always had BIG bruises on the inside of my knees because my legs looked like bird legs where the knee is like a bulb in the middle och they constantly got knocked by eachother. Now I've learned to walk with my legs further apart.
- When it's hot I get extremely hot, and almost can't cope. The subcutaneous fat protects against both cold and heat, so I'm rarely pleased ;)
- My hands have looked like a 60 years old woman since my teens.
- I tear apart clothes from the inside out ;)

Making cookies

The girls, Synthia and Fairlight, are having a picnic at school tomorrow and they wanted sweet mum (me) to make them cookies this time, so I used 1/4 of the recipe of Brussels cookies and tried to make different kinds from the same batch.
I hope they'll be so happy tomorrow. Okay, I admit, I'm hoping for "Mum of the year". At least I might get 3 votes :)
Healthy, skinny body 2: My body
It is more of an insight on how ridiculous one can be.

The hip bone poking out, my ribs showing, my flat butt and my crooked legs as well as my height made me feel like an alien.
Today I would have been so happy to have that body. Stupid teen me!

Being naturally skinny is never beautiful according to society and people LOVE to make you feel bad because you have that body type. And the fact I don't work out and also eat (what I consider) "right" (Montignac Method) is even more tantalizing apparently.
I once read a funny comic:
I think that summens it up ;)

I like to be positive so I've decided to think like this:
"I will love the body I have right now, because in a year it will look worse!" and that, my friends, is a true quote by Adora BatBrat!
So, take a good look in the mirror tonight and tell your body it's the most beautiful you have ever seen! <3
If you won't mind me saying:
Whoa! Your body looks great!
Healthy, skinny body 1
The little bitch (no offence) had collected my most famous quotes over the years for this.
It was so funny! I was really struck by all the smart things that apparently came out of my mouth!
(and still she choose to become my friend! <3)

I remember using that a lot as a teen...
This will realate to this weeks focus:

Old picture of the day

Fairlight sits in the carrier. She is so cute in the hat I made her! And Synthia looks like a little doll <3
And me, not to forget about ME! I have always loved the yellow hair on me. I look so stylish!
(ego bitch, aren't you gonna say something about the father of these perfect kids? -Do I have to? All that comes out is just <3 <3 <3...)

Rhubarb crumble pie!

Since I'm (we're) gonna visit my dad and extra mums house for a sleep over tonight I just had to make some kind of bribe to bring with me to smooth the hustle of my homemade clan of mini me's.
I'm such a good daughter! Much better than that other one ;) <3
Adora's Rhubarb bribe (WARNING! Not Montignac!):
rhubarbs - given from my husbands co-worker
3 big tablespoons of sugar
dash of cinnamon
*
138 grams of butter (room temperature)
3 dl of wheat flour
2-3 tablespoons of sugar
:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:..:
Cut the rhubarb as you would a finger of your hostage, bit by bit. Approximately 1 cm at the time (you don't have to peal it this way).
Throw it in a pretty pie tin.
Toss the sugar and the cinnamon on top and grope it with your hands to rub the rhubarb in sugar.
I liked saying that - rub the rhubarb!
Okay, back on track. Butter, flour, sugar in a mixing bowl and use an electric handmixer. Stop when the crumbs are big enough.
(Too small crumbs? Mix it with your hand - the heat will help the butter, or add bit more butter, or more flour if you want smaller crumbs).
Pour on top of the rubbed rhubarb, toss in oven (I use 175-200 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes).
When pie has got a golden crust, remove it from heat. Let set at room temperature for at least 10 minutes, 20 is recommended.
Serve with lightly whipped cream with added vanilla and sugar.
Oh, I just can't wait!

Home styling: Tile decore
On my lunch hour I had some time left so I finally could put up my tile decor I bought at Lagerhouse, Sweden.
Looks so much better!
The turquoise tile is also new, you can see there is a difference between that and the blue from before.
Adora BatBrat's tattoo: The sight by Front 242
My tattoo on my right arm is a simplified picture from the maxi single of this song, called "Tyranny for you".
Why: Because I LOVE Front 242, and I am the tyrann of my husband ;)
and this sight is the prettiest picture I've ever seen <3

V-logg: New tattoo unrevealed!
Someone please spank me for my bad behaviour.

100 Victorian collars

The Victorian collars I designed just dropped down in my flat!
100 of them, packaged and ready to enter the shop.
As a designer this is nerves on top.
Now I just need to get a grip on this bookkeeping program and I'm on.
I feel like a want a big premier day!
Nerd glasses on, brain on and everything else off...
Fairlight the trendsetter

The sweet, innocent Fairlight's been nagging since last summer to shave one side off.
When she started crying because we said "no", we realized she really wanted it, so one side was shaved off after the St Lucia. :)
And now she's spread her hairstyle. A nice girl, N, wanted to have the exactly same hairstyle and made her mum shave it in the same way.
My cool Fairlight <3

Goth cyborg

She did a marvellous job at laughing at me as she had me run back and forward because I had the most stupid running style!
In my mind I portrayed myself as the evil Cyborg in Terminator, but in fact I looked more like my grandpa doing a slow run.
We laughed our ass of as we looked at my running on the computer. I will seriously harm her if she ever releases those clips!
At the more "modelly" shots I looked fab - but I should never run again!
I will most certainly never get a part as an evil, running Cyborg in Terminator.... perhaps Golden Girls got a spot open?
Filming the short movie

It was so cool to star in my friends mini movie for her school project yesterday (but I pretend it's an Oscar award winning movie)?
She had me running back and forward at the museums inner yard.
And I tried to run kind of cool, but I had my plateau shoes on and ran like an old man. She started to laugh everytime because of my ridiculous running style !

...and when I saw the filmed material I laughed so hard my tummy got hurt. I am not a "running" beauty!

Adora BatBrat starring in a short film!
School project, my ass! In my mind this is a HUGE movie that will make thousands of people seeing it :)
*brain says: dear God, did I create this goth monster? I'm trying real hard here to keep the sain. I'm about to give up.*

Stupid Blue chair!

This stupid chair is mocking me!
Every time I have time enough to finish it, it's too late so I can't start hammering because of the neighbours.
This is my personal vendetta and I will finish it off at lunchtime tomorrow.
Now I've said it! And I have to bow my head in shame if I don't make it!
I'll even go as far as to say: IF I have not placed a picture of the damn chair by 23:00 tomorrow, complete with blue fabric AND trimming, I MUST put up a picture of me without make up where my face is clearly viewed and recent (no baby pictures).
Don't get your hopes up - I have no intention of failing!

Halloween edible eyes
I have no clue about the recipe, but it wouldn't be so hard to figure out I think. I would guess gelatin have something to do with it..
Anyone?

At the China buffet
Friday my darling husband took me for a small shopping trip to the town where I was brought up; Kalmar.
I needed some stuff for my new company to get started.
I was so very happy to be able to have the business lunch with my shop programmer at one of my favorite China restaurant where me and my friends ate at least twice a week when we went to school.
It was just as good as I remembered!
The squid at the buffet was pure perfection!
If any time in Kalmar - eat at Ming Palace!
Your tummy will thank you <3

I have a new hair color!
Here you see it!
Well, I've had it since Thursday really...(that's why that picture was in black and white).
I changed it back to the pink!
I figured it would give me some luck now when I'm starting my own business and all...and also the kids had a saying in the matter as well. Pink won over yellow and blue when they voted. And I gotta please my family :)
Personally I love the pink too, but I think I looked cooler, more ghostly, with the blue'ish. And the yellow was incredible cute on me. But now I have a year of pink ahead of me.
I mostly change color once a year, remember?
Tomorrow I'll think out what to make of it...I'm thinking....
