Todays make up

I've been out shopping all day, Christmas gifts, gifts for the teachers and some food.

I decided on a "french" look today.

At one store I saw this lovely girl and just stared at her: a shorter and completely white version of Desireless hair in video "Voyage, voyage". And some really nice make up. Not crazy- Goth Adora-make up, just very black and perfect make up.

And can you believe?  This astonishing creature came up to ME and said I looked pretty! although she was 10 times more pretty! thanks a lot <3

Aww...

Happy Birthday to me!

39 years ago I looked like this:

This is my mother Eivor, 21 at the time, and newborn me the 5th of December 1972. Ohh, I'm so cute!

You can clearly see my Spanish heritage at my young age. I can't really see the resemblance with the grown me.

Ohh, someone is getting a bit cranky...

So, today at 08:26 AM I turned 39 years old.
And what lovely gift did I get?
This is what I got for my birthday:

a root filling!!!
It will cost me 7000 SEK/$1040 before it's done.
Not exactly what I hoped for when I woke up this morning..

Todays make up in progress II

My crazy blush from Make Up Store: Chic is now added. Brows scetched, eyeshadow lightly contured and thin eyeliner from earlier.

I'm slowly getting there. Just added my favorite lipstick Max Factor 815. On with the eyes..

Christmas crafting 2011

This is how my dinner table looks like when I indulge in some crafting...

"-Hi, family, I think we should eat China style today, sitting on the floor."

or perhaps:

"-Think of this as a art showroom and grab a plate and start mingling. "

Will I be hanged by dawn or declared a genius? We'll just have to wait and see...

Todays make up

Shocking pink, white dots and some kind of border on my upper eyelid was today's hot make up.

Tomorrow my husbands work have invited us both to a Christmas dinner somewhere secret, so I'll be more UCG tomorrow  I think...and perhaps wear some really nice spandex clothes so I can eat my own weight of food!

NOT!

To the spandex part that is... not the; me eating part!

Todays make up

I got my new brushes yesterday, unfortunately not made out of squirrel hair (that I prefer), but made of sable. But I think it was quite good.
I will evaluate it for a week and then I'll add it to the web shop (if good) since I think everyone should be able to get hold of good brushes.

For the white on the inside of the eyes I used Kryolan TV-white foundation. The rest is made by Kryolan Cake Eye Liner and Kryolan CEL sealer, M.A.C. blacktrack fluidline and Viva La Diva black shade with glitter.

This make up was originally inspired by my cat Missan, an Abessinian cat I had as a child to my 20's. I used to do this make up a lot in my teens/<1984, and now just every now and then.
Then, about 10 years later, I found out about Elvira; Mistress of the Dark.
I'm guessing she had an Abessinian cat as well :)
She is just so pretty! And a good role model showing you don't have to change style because of age! I'm definately looking up to her looks. And those BOOBS! Yeah! I always think people with big knockers should display them! I wanna see more boobs!
Chelsea, love - you got it!

Happy Birthday to me!

39 years ago I looked like this:
This is my mother Eivor, 21 at the time, and newborn me the 5th of December 1972.
Ohh, I'm so cute! I love that round face!
You can clearly see my spanish heritage at my young age. I look kind of goth with all that black hair and black eyes (lenses? hahaha).
I can't really see the resemblance with the grown me though. Can you?
Ohh, someone is getting a bit cranky!
"-Quickly, bring her some blood bags!"
So, today, at 08:26 AM I turned 39 years old.
And what lovely gift did I get?
This is what I got for my birthday:
a root filling!!!
It will cost me 7000 SEK/$1045 before it's done.
Not exactly what I hoped for when I woke up this morning..

I can now only hope for my next birthday (the BIG 4-0) will turn out better!

Top of my wishlist

Man, I must have been possessed by the soul of a hip-hop star, a crow and a Hollywood wife!
This fixation with shiny, glittered stuff! I'm so embarassed!
I feel like I have a dark secret I need to hide from the rest of the world. Please don't tell anyone!
This was on top of my wishlist today:

Tea-pot Lovely Gold by Little Diva
And I got $ appropriated to go buy it! Wiihooo! Now I can drink tea and chocolate milk with style! But as a goth I will also feel ashamed, as appropriate.

Oh, shit!

I'm kind of new to having a cell phone and noone really have my number since I only use it for blogging and Facebooking.
Since I'm of the old era (the unofficial version) I hate new techniques and innovations.
"-A phone you have with you all of the time, you say? Sounds ridiculous! If I'm not in the house, then I'm out and people just have to call me later."
So, when the damn thing rang earlier, on Friday, I didn't even realize what kind of sound it was! I simply thought it was one of the kids toys! Haha, I'm so blonde sometimes!
Then there came a text.
The SIM card in my phone is my husbands old one so I just figured it was ment to him and simply send the person on it's way with a text referring to my husbands new number.
Then came another text back. I then thought, okay, it's some kind of annoing salesperson?

Then I've been kind of busy with all my birthday parties so I have had no chance to even think about it, until I mentioned to my husband just now I got some strange text the other day; and then - ding-a-ling - my painted eyebrows went even higher.
Is that even possible, one might ask? And yes, it is!
All I can say about it is: "-What!? Hahahaha!"
This makes a lousy story...
I'm just happy I didn't answer the phonecall! Jeeeeez!

Birthday get-together with the friends

Since a few years back I have my friends over for my famous Ris á la Malta for my Birthday.
(It's cold Christmas porridge mixed with lightly whipped cream, sugar and vanilla sugar served with hot strawberry sauce. You can serve it with oranges/strawberries/grapes at the side as well. And to be fair, I did one batch with oranges (then called Orange-paddy), and one "clean" batch).
My hard liquer days are looong gone (pffffttt, hahaha, hardly!).

This was the look of the evening
(do you spot my lovely necklace by PinkAbsinthe? Click on name to go to her Etsy.com and buy one you too!)
And I was nice enough to serve my starving guests both homemade gingerbread bats (of course!)
and Lussekatter/Saffron Buns. Recipe HERE.
(Oh, God! Look at my arm to the left - it looks awful at that angle!)
I had a lovely evening with all my lovely friends who are just too cute!
Look at all the wonderful gifts they gave me!
As my friends went home I lightly throw myself in the sofa and started to eat the After Eights left as my dear husband cleaned up everything and started the washing machine. Sweet!
See? When you serve your sweetheart fantastic homemade pastries he volunteers to clean up after you!
That's what makes a luxury wife!

Today's make up

I'm having my sweet friends over for "Ris a la Malta", bat gingerbread and saffron buns:)

Must leave now!

Kids Christmas crafting 2011

You all know how I just looove to torture my kids with endless crafting? The other day was time for another punishment!
"-So, your bed isn't made to perfection! You go straight and do some Christmas crafting young lady!"

And so poor Fairlight wandered off to the Zwart Chateau with her head down.
In tears she so painted a small baking form (in Sweden used for "almond clams") with white acrylic paint. When it was dried she filled it with some green moss she plucked on her way home from school.

She twirled some steel wire around it (we we're supposed to add some white pearls to the wire as well, but forgot), added an old Christmas tree candle holder, and tadaa, she's got her own candle to light, and blow out every morning at breakfast!
Sweet idea, right?
You can do lots of fun stuff with those baking forms, just Google.
(And, please, no kids were harmed during this crafting).

Old picture of the day

10 years ago and no tattoos on my right arm yet.
Oh, how sad that little arm seems  :(
And to remove any doubts: No, I'm not pregnant here, but I'm like a snake, after I've eaten my belly gets all big! The ribs stops the stomach from expanding out, so it expands down instead, making my cute belly to pop!

And: yes, I did make the skirt myself :)

Today's make up

Here I am at school to get Fairlight and Synthia.

And I'm wearing the lovely Bat necklace I was given as a gift from the lovely Chelsea from London (Synthetic Doll) in my hair. She's got an etsy as well - with all these lovely designs HERE.

Today's make up

Tonight is Christmas crafting at TeeBee 's daycare.

The kids at his daycare are so funny! One girl, 5 years, always comes up to me with a smile and says I'm scary. But then she also say I'm so pretty! Can't beat that - scary and pretty! A Goths dream.
Another girl always wants me to show my fangs, and 2 girls apparently watch my YouTube videos constantly.

Last week the daycare teachers told me the kids (girls) even play that they are me and Fairlight!
Apparently they drink tea and makes cupcakes. They totally nailed my life!

Christmas crafting with the kids 2011

Some kids grow up hating Christmas, mainly because they have a Goth mum who force them to do over cute crafting all the time.

I dragged them to a Red Cross second hand store where we picked up different things to make. One thing we thought out was button hearts. The kids picked out a few packs each for the cost of 5 SEK( about $0,7?). Fairlight did the one on top, with the bigger buttons, and Synthia the one with smaller.

Yesterday was button heart making.
We used:
buttons in various sizes and models
steel wire
organza ribbon
scissor
steel cutter

Fairlight 's buttons were bigger so she threaded the steel wire directly through each button, made it to the shape of a heart, I tied the organza ribbon as a bow - and ta -daa it made a perfect Christmas ornament.

Synthia 's buttons were so small so she had to thread the buttons through a 4 mm organza ribbon first (organza ribbon instead of ordinary thread makes the buttons stay put) and then she wrapped it around the steel wire and made it to a heart.
So cute!
Cheap, fun - and most important: pretty! I hate having kids crafting on public display when it's ugly, so I simply only craft pretty things with them. And they will probably thank me later in life when they actually will be able to use all their handmade things without puking!
And still they had fun making it.
See, not only ugly things are fun to make!
