Christmas tree up!


For the first time in history I will have a fake tree. Horrible, I know, but I got it super cheap! This deluxe version costs about $100 and I got it for $14!

I'm famous amongst my friends for being a remarkable sales finder (or a real cheap bastard).

Sure I will miss the smell, and the constant watering as well as all stitches I get to decorate the damn thing and not to mention all the "brarr" (?) that you step on all the way to next summer, but I just might find joy in this one too.

I've got lights and decorating left as you can see.

Will the kids join in?

Hahaha - hell no! This is my fun. Mine, ONLY mine! *said with a dark and scary voice*

My tradition have always been to decorate the tree, and I will never let anyone take it away from me.

The kids are "allowed" to hang the plastic ornaments, but the old glass ones I've got from grandma noone touches!

    Yeay! The christmas tree decorating is also only for me. The kids are not allowed to touch my antique glass balls, hell no. I have been argued about this many times. Now they will have their own trees on their rooms. That will be 5 christmas trees in the house. Last year I was broke and had to get tiny birch trees for them to decorate :P but it was a tree in someway.

    Oo, your white tree is snazzy. I look forwards to seeing you decorate it. We're having a traditional-looking tree in our living room (well, with silver, black and red ornate baubles and ornaments rather than red and gold ones!) but I'm having a mini black plastic tree in our room, black and purple to match the decor. The anonymous poster's right, the translation for "brarr" is "pine needles".

    Vi är inne på tredje året med vit gran! Hos oss är det maken som bestämt vit gran :o)) Jag bryr mig inte så noga om hur den ser ut, bara den är ordentligt pyntad!! Men visst är det läckert!!
