Today's look

Some bathrooms are just slightly cooler than the others.
Most of the time it'sbecause they contain <3me<3 at the moment (what a stuck up comment, you a-hole!) I feel like Adora in Wonderland whenever I need to take a leak at my dad's and Beda's house .
The make up of today was a winner according to me. I felt so cuuuuute!
Time for my close up.

Aww, what a lovely crazy face! I think this is the kind of poses I do best.
If this wasn't me I'd like to give this far out chick a big kiss. What the hell, I just did...but in my hand.

Old picture of the day

This was about 2001....that would make me 29 years at the time.
It's my first ever home made dreads! I was quite impressed by myself at the time I remember.
Just search youtube.com for double ended dreads. I'm sure you will get lots of Kanekalon professional tutorials.
There are a thousand ways to make them. I want mine to be skinny and light and I do rarely attach them but use clips for easy removal.
I kind off do them the same way nowadays as well, but now I make double ended ones.

Kanekalon hair.

Take out a small amount of hair.

Fasten it on a hanger/door handle by the middle.

Start back combing (I use a lice comb) as you twirl one side of the double ended dread. Mess up, pull it straight, twirl, back comb..and so on.

When you are done you do the same to the other side of the double ended dread.

When you have made as many as you need it's time to do what we goths do best - self harm.

Put on a kettle of water in a tea pot (for controllable steam) and slowly move your dread through the steam as you twirl it. You will see it twirls itself and tightens up. You have to move at the same speed and range from the steam to make them even. Close for tight ones, and further away for fluffier.
(You will notice the self harm bit here because you always manage to burn yourself.)

When they are all done I usually seal them by dipping the ends in the boiling water.

Now you can braid them in or just fasten them with clips and put them up in dread falls.

Well, there are most certain better ways, but for me this always works since I hate having stuff attached to my hair.
I am NOT a pro at making or attaching dreads.
But I like to wear them :)

Today's look

I went for my darling Jack shirt today. My stabbed stockings and a pair of shorts. I felt so sporty! Like I'm a cheerleader perhaps?

And with a face like an angel ( who evidently fell into a bag of make up).

Sleeping with goth's: Goth gadgets

When you position yourself in the coffin pose every night (or day for those who can't enter the light) you want to sleep in style.
With those new completely dark drapers we don't even need a coffin any more so we can enjoy having a stylish bed and lovely linen.

Spiderweb is something you never can go wrong with, but personally I would have prefered a white with black webs. I'm sure that's available somewhere.

These are from Sin in Linen and can be bought for $79 HERE.
I have an old classic bed from IKEA (this is from my previous apartment). I also made a matching gantry to make it a canopy bed (in the 90's there were no such beds to get hold of here in Sweden so I had to make my own..)
About half of my friend group have the same one... I really, really like it.
Two of the 3 kids was made in it, that's how good it is!

BUT if I have had not this bed I'd love to be in bed with one of these:
From Wrought Iron Furniture . But what's with the bedding?! Whooa, those "normal" people are just SO scary!
This is my favorite amongst the group!
An all white bedroom and some blood squirts (fake, if you wish) over the linen and the walls.Wow, it would be so incredible!

This bed is so pricy I would probably scream myself to sleep every evening, but it is pretty!
It's a Tennyson bed from And So To Bed. Can be bought for $4000 (?) and above if I'm not mistaken.

Not liking the rest of the room, just the bed. To me it looks a bit like Flander's bedroom with those curtains and stuff. Like seriously religious instead of cool goth. But the bed itself looks lovely.
At Corsican you can look at 2545 different kinds of beds, many beautiful goth worthy, but I have no idea where to buy them :(
But you can't write about gothic beds and not mention Newtons over the top beds!
What little goth girl have not dreamed of having adventures with another dark soul in this roubust bed.
Newtons Versailles Noir bed can be bought HERE for this months special price £799.
In my apartment this fantastic piece would unfortunately not look so good since the rooms are quite small, but a girl can dream, can't she?

Our kids have this kinds of adjustable beds: all from IKEA.
It seems to still be available HERE for £74.99.
Bed "Minnen". Synthia's is the same, but in black.
This is the style of TeeBee's bed (but not his actual bed). I love the "prison" feeling to it. Perhaps he does not...
This one seems to be available HERE for $115.

All their rooms are getting a slight make over now when the Christmas things are out.
Fairlight wants a Candy room, Synthia a Jungle room, and TeeBee is not yet decided on if he wants a Robot room, an Aeroplane room or an Aqua room. I hope he goes for a Robot room!

The kids all have their own room, but if they were supposed to share a room I would so go for this one!
Prettiest bunk bed I've ever seen.
I love all you designers that makes life so much more beautiful <3 Thank's!

And all of you creative people out there:
You can just buy some MDF board, and paint the style of the bedhead, incredible cheaper but still cool! Or buy this very light, but thick, aluminum metal wire and shape it. It will not be as sustainable but it may achieve the right look.

Sleep tight, (don't) let the vampire goths bite!

Victorian collar prototype

Today I got the first Victorian collar, signed BatBrat. I feel so proud!

But, sure, some trouble ahead once more. It's made in the wrong material. The seamstresses have used the dupion taffeta from the Adorable Heart blouse instead of the thicker bridal satin...

Just to send back, and redo.

What you think? About when I'm 97 the BatBrat collection will finally be out for sales...

My Music Mondays: Desireless

This was the second girl I fell in love with as a teen.
In the early 80's there was almost impossible to get hold of her outfit, now you can get it in like 3 days... WHY, oh why, was not Internet invented when I was a teen?!
The hairstyle is to die for! Enjoy both ears and eyes: Voyage Voyage by Desireless. Official page HERE.
I have made out with numerous boys that looked like this, but with colored black hair <3
My husband was one!
As the rest of the songs I've presented on Music Monday's this is a classic for Swedish synthare/electro goths.

Todays make up

Apparently I'm down.

Could it be because it's Monday?

Never me! I'm like a rocket in the pants of a dog scared of bit of kaboom!

Happy mode: ON!

My Monday view

This is so corny, but I just can't resist!

I want you all to share this morning moment with me, it's so calming.

Dollhouse

To make a toilet out of a candy box...

I will try to make a toilet and a wash basin out of parts from Marabou Paradis chocolate box.

Mo-hahaha, it's so evil.

Lights out for Christmas

Light out för this years Christmas tree. I just turned it off for the last time before undressing it.

2012 years ago Jesus have had his fun; was born, got some gifts and will now continue his life as a baby by sucking his mum's breast dry for a while before he starts with all his "miracles " that we  can all read about in his blog, by that era a book he named the Bible.

How this is celebrated in the modern world is by letting all the woman's in the world spend a full days time by carefully pack down ALL the Christmas decorations that's been up to celebrate the little rascal. Wohoo, thanks Jesus for giving us this fab gift.

Couldn't have thought out some nice "Thank you poor woman who just gave birth to me-gift-day"? I'd like it if some days after Christmas we celebrated all the womens.

We can call the day "Wommas", "Mariemas" or "Missmas" and it could be about giving women an easy day. The gift of a favour rather than a physical gift.

So,  now we can celebrate Missmas the 3'd Sunday after Christmas.

Happy Missmas all girls in the world!

Today is the first Missmas ever, let's celebrate in style!

Montignac Method: Dinner tips

Here you can see how easy it is to change to the Montignac way of eating!

I make my own hamburgers (minced meat, an egg, salt, pepper and a lot of other spices I don't know the English name for - no pre-blends!).

The kids eat it with burger bread, cheese and French fries, tomato and stuff.

We exchanged the bread, cheese and Ff with grilled mushrooms, paprika, ruccola, tomato, onion. In Montignac you can eat as much as you want to. Since you eat "right" you will still loose weight.

But don't forget - 1/2-1 apple/pear/orange or likewise 20 minutes before every meal to avoid that sugar craving after.

Loose weight, not the fun of eating! And not the sense....  By that I mean - to just stop eating kills your brain, inner organs and your looks. I promise I eat like this (and do not throw up afterwards) , and you can all see how I look. Slender. Wanna be skinny? Do it my way - by eating! Love <3

Today's make up

Stupid phone didn't put up this picture of my Friday make up, close.
It was very pretty I rhink <3

Friday the 13'th

I might perhaps look a bit dressed down today, on this Friday the 13'th, but I'm wearing a Kraftwerk T-shirt, and you can never look bad wearing Kraftwerk!

Jewels

There was a 75% off sale on Guldfynd yesterday,  so I bought the kids some nice silver earings and a few bracelets that I just redone to fit their tiny wrists. They will be so happy when they see them!

I'll think I'll go back to buy some more today. I love a good bargain!

The left over pearls might become a sweet nosechain. Sweden is getting cold, and to wear a metal nosechain is not that much fun then...

Blood

Yesterday I cracked my skull open. Ouch! Bang! Darn, that new toilet cabinet!

"-Mum! Blood!"

It felt so nice and warm.

If I wasn't in such a hurry to leave the kids at school I would have let it running just to see how it would turned out. It looked so cool!

Dollhouse

A few more pictures of the dollhouse toilet.

Today I've done no working on the house, but I did start to make a "money robot" with TeeBee.
It was his short day at daycare today.
And while I was at the dentists he had to stay at his dad's work, and he was so sweet and good behaved that one of my husband's coworkers gave him a "tip"! For that tip he wanted to buy himself a special yoghurt, and then he got some coins back and didn't wanna put them in his piggy bank so I suggested we should build a money robot. So we did!
It's not completely done, but it can eat money and the money ends up in his tummy just like TeeBee wanted. We have only the legs and the eyes left for tomorrow.
I'll take a picture of it in the morning, it turned out very well! it's made out of an After Eight box, a fluidliner box, paper and steel wire and some decorations.
It's so fun having kids and do this sort of things :)

Gothic item: Octupus lamp

In my mind I live in a wonderful, scary castle filled with amazing designed goth items (instead of this white, white and white apartment mostly designed to carry as much stuff in the smallest area possible).

GetBentMetal on Etsy.com. Price: $1,500.00 CAD Buy it HERE.
In my "mind home" this lamp will have a certain place.
Sure, a "bit" costly, but to my fortune, my mind home also carries a huge "mind account".
I love this idea! I'm not a huge octupus fan in general, but this I just can't resist!
It got all of it's 8 arms wrapped around me!

Today's make up

I did a root filling before Christmas. Last night I went nuts (well, HAD nuts to be correct - can't become something you already are ).
Filling fell out. Must see the dentist today.

One thing dentists do really well is smudging your make up. So on "dentist days" I'm not that particular with my make up.
Still, like to wear much but I focus on waterproof and non smudging make up.

This is today's dental make up. Lipstick are less clever to use (been making out, have we?) so I just put some on my finger and colorize carefully, or use the kids permanent lipstick.
I'll have to do an "after" shoot to show you.
Haha, I often ask them to put paper on my head as well to not be sprayed with water. I think they think I'm a bit on the crazy side...and I know they are right.

Dollhouse

This is how the two beds turned out:

I made a small mattress for them today as well. How I wish I could shrink and try one out. But they aren't comfy I suppose. I'm used to a soft, poofy princess mattress myself.

And the toilet is slowly getting there... Today the kids wanted me to make a small round pool for the outside as well...
"-Hi, kids, I'm your mom, and my life is only about pleasing you."

Nah, the truth is I love making things like this with, and for, them. When they are not home I play myself :)
Computer games? Never! Playing with dollhouses and making fun games about pee, with the kids - that's my kind of fun! I'll tell you about that pee game some other time!

Dollhouse

Fairlight 's pink bed is now glued and ready for using.

It will get the legs painted and then we will make some pillow and stuff.

But it's ready for a play test.

This is how the original print looked like, the blue one I altered in Photoshop.

Dollhouse

Next bed in process. I think they look divine! I'm just a happy amateur but I'm still impressed that I could make such a cute bed just out of paper :)

Perhaps I regret it in one hour when the kids smash it...

Dollhouse

This thing, dollhouse decorating, would very much be the best thing ever!

I have seen some real pro people out there that makes a dollhouse so real, it's fantastic!

I'm still but an amateur but I enjoy myself and the kids are so happy with the progress. After all, it's to be played with, not stand and collect dust.

I just made Synthias blue bed and will now make Fairlight's pink bed.

I just took a picture of the web, transformed it a bit in Photoshop, printed and glued on both sides of an old ice cream carton for stability and put together. For legs I used the stick from the ice cream, painted white and glued them on with my glue gun.

Ta daa!  One bed made!

It's getting tested right now for playing, and so far, so good.

Today's make up

I'm guessing this is getting a bit boring since I always look more or less the same, but I will continue to show my daily make up every once in a while anyway!

Close up.

Fairlight's usual blood test

Approximately every 3-6 weeks Fairlight have a blood test to make sure her disease JDM, Juvenile Dermatomyotis, is under control.

Today it became a sweet blood bath :) She was a trooper as usual and smiled through the while thing.

Now we are waiting for her to get her weekly Metotrexat (a cellular poison. Not sure how to explain it.)

My Music Mondays: D.A.F.

Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft, D.A.F., have a few of the best electro tunes according to me.
I must admit I know very little of them, mainly because their appearence didn't shake my tree - and I AM that shallow! (just ask my husband; who I'm only with because I think he is sooo pretty and handsome), but I have caught them live on several occations in the 90's and forward.
It's another German band, from Düsseldorf.
Germans sure know how to make electro!
Wanna know more? Here's the Wiki on them.

Their biggest hit all around must be Der Mussolini. A song that will fill any electro dancefloor within 2 seconds.
(I take no political stands on my music - to me it's just music. You can't take everything too serious according to me. What the hell, my lyrics is about shooting and dismember people, and that's not something I "support" either ;))
The first song I ever heard of them was Brothers. I remember me and my friends were in love with the lyrics.
Then we have my ABSOLUTE favorite!
Kebab-Träume.
This song have been on my top 20 list since the first time I heard it. I can never get enough!
I hope this appeals to you as well!
I do think I must add this lovely, and bit annoying tune as well;
Der Räuber und der Prinz.
At least they made an effort to make a somewhat interesting video to this one...

Christmas 2011: Christmas card

This Christmas card was a bit different than the ones we usually hand out.

I like putting people in jars so this turned out pretty okay. I just wished I have had more than one hour to make them...
They could have been so much better.

Only a few selected relatives got this "de luxe" version, the rest got a similar paper version.

Kids sick all around

My poor Fairlight and TeeBee is sick :(
Fairlight's got nettle-rash all over her body. She says she looks like a leopard.
It's some allergic reaction to something we don't know. But doctor's gave her some medicine and salve to make it better.
But I will probably be a bitch mom and nag until she gets an allergy test.
TeeBee is suffering from high fever and complains about having a sore throat.
At daycare they told me both scarlet fever, impetigo and strep throat are going around amongst the kids right now... poor TB.
When I called the doctor they said to wait until tomorrow to come see them if he still suffered from a sore throat then.

So today: much cuddling, movies and goth mommy was sweet and made the kids small pancakes for dinner. A pamper mom, I know, but it's awful seeing them sick and not being able to help.
Small pancakes helps a bit :)
Tomorrow Iwill be serving them another favourite just to spoil them even more: turnip mash and pork sausage. Whiiii, I'm the best mom there is!!!
